Myth: Journeyman

They posted a KS Update yesterday - the content was from Ullisses NA confirming that they are the new owners and that they have lots of plans for the game. Surprisingly they also mentioned that the purchase included Myth: Dark Frontier, so that should be getting a reprint. They implied they couldn't give any more details b/c of lawyers, so my guess is that there is some kind of stipulation about this shipping wave being completed before they can/will reveal any more.

Did you pay for shipping for this wave?

I don't know anymore, honestly. There was the $6, then a couple bucks shipping for that, then I have only half been paying attention, because I fell way out of love with the game based on the company a long time ago.

You would have had to have paid shipping for this week during July when the PM was re-opened, so I'm guessing you didn't. So since you didn't pay any outstanding fees, they won't try shipping your stuff and will hold onto it until the next time they open the PM. Sometime next year. So if you fix your address, and then pay whatever shipping costs you'd have, you'll still be able to get your stuff. If you really want it.

My printed materials arrived yesterday, but I haven't had time to paw through it yet.

Might play a game of Recon tonight.  Been so close to winning a couple times!  Yeah, I know that was off-topic.

I haven't touched my Recon stuff in a year or so. I had one friend who liked it as much as I did, he was the only one who was interested in playing it more than once. Last time we played we did one of the 3-part missions. We completed stage 1 and 2 OK, but got overrun in the 3rd part. It was still fun.

Mine showed up this weekend, along with the neoprene mats that I went in on with some people on the Facebook group.

My stuff came in, but my enthusiasm for this company is zilch. I can't bring myself to inventory the product.

I actually have enjoyed the game in the past, but have written them off for now.

I will likely try and get it to the table, but unsure I will ever be able to convince myself to give them money again.

"Them" don't exist anymore. Or, rather, it's now Ulisses North America who's publishing the game, with MCG still being the designers.

"Ulisses North America, based in Nevada, is the sister company of Ulisses Spiele out of Germany. Combined Ulisses supports with print products more RPGs than any other company in the world. In addition, we’ve worked with a number of board games and miniatures games. Ulisses has earned a reputation for very high-quality products as well as numerous awards and nominations in the arena of game excellence.  "

Yeah, but it's specifically design concerns that have always bothered me. Those guys can't error trap, play devil's advocate, or write rules to save themselves. They had a nice high concept but no one around them tried to break their game for them, which is a shame, because it was a nice concept.

Plus, if UNA succeeds with the IP, they still get to design future expansions I would assume, so some of the money will go there, at the very least.

Someone on BGG shared an email they received from an employee at Ulisses that the sale was finalized at the end of last week and an announcement should be coming soon. (This was a personal email exchange between the two of them, not a marketing email or something anyone else would have access too.)

      About
Welcome to The Land and the world of Spitfyre, our exciting game of aerial warfare in a fantasy world. Enter a world where Dwarves and Orcs fly giant creatures and arm them with bombs and machine guns to continue their millennia long struggles... Come fight in the skies of Spitfyre and see if you can reign supreme over The Land!
Spitfyre is a fun 'Historo-Fantasy' miniature aerial wargame in which 10mm scale miniatures are used to depict the everyday struggles of standard fantasy races such as Orcs and Dwarves fight out battles with 20th century weaponry.
We are keeping this Kickstarter very simple with three basic pledge levels. The key one is 'Pilot' where pledgers will receive a discounted copy of the core game and ALL stretch goals added in FREE of charge.
      THE TARGET - £1000
Spitfyre - the core game The target goal is to produce the core game which will include the rulebook, a flight of three 10mm scale resin Orc Spitfyre wyverns, a flight of four 10mm scale polyurethane resin Dwarf War-Eagles and seven flying bases.
      STRETCH GOAL I - £1500
If we reach Stretch Goal I, all Pilot backers will have one polyurethane resin 10mm scale Dwarf KampfGrier 87 vulture dive bomber and flying base added to their pledge for free and the rules will be extended to include dive bombing.
       More Stretch Goals to come...

Well, the HeroQuest Kickstarter  crowdfunding is in its final few hours - I ended up being pushed over the event horizon by my girlfriend, and went in for the 110 Euro pledge.

HeroQuest was her introduction to fantasy gaming - I brought my old, battered, but much loved original copies over to her mum's house for Thanksgiving.

      She still loves that game.

And... there are some elements that I am seeing that I really like - the mummies look like dried cadavers instead of Egyptian mummies, and the terrain looks fantastic.

Hopefully.... I will be able to drag the Anniversary edition to her mum's for next Christmas.

      Announcing Relic Knights: 2nd Edition

Ninja Division Publishing and Soda Pop Miniatures are excited to announce Relic Knights: 2nd Edition and its first expansion Void Break. Relic Knights: 2nd Edition and Void Break will feature new and revised rules for the Relic Knights miniature skirmish game, a new 2-Player Starter, brand new units, beautiful new sculpts for many existing units, gorgeous new art, and exciting fiction continuing and expanding the Relic Knights universe. The Relic Knights: 2nd Edition Rulebook, 2-Player Player Starter, and Void Break expansion book will be launched through Kickstarter in the last half of February, 2017.

      2nd Edition Rules
The 2nd Edition rules are an evolution and refinement of the Relic Knights 1.5 rules which were released in downloadable form in 2016. The new rules continue to feature Relic Knights’ unique card-based mechanic where players manage a hand of esper to initiate powerful attacks and actions; as well as the ready queue mechanic where you must carefully plan your units’ order of activation to maximize their potential and impact on the game.
Units are now organized into two categories, Heroes and minions. Whenever a Hero is activated they may also activate a minion, allowing these units to perform their vital battlefield roles, without taking space in your ready queue. Unsurprisingly, the mighty Knights with lead your cadres are powerful Heroes, who are instrumental in unlocking your entire cadre’s full potential.
Every unit in Relic Knights will be completely updated, with many units acquiring brand new upgrade options, such as special weapons, alternate gear, and unique abilities, allowing players to customize their cadres to their specific playstyle. An upgrade deck will be available (and included for free in Kickstarter pledges) for veteran players to be able to quickly and easily update their existing collection to 2nd Edition

      Beautiful New Models
Soda Pop and Ninja Division are committed to making Relic Knights a stunning visual experience on your gaming table. As part of that commitment the studio has taken a hard look at the entire Relic Knights range of plastic miniatures to determine which models meet our standards for quality, and which must be retired and given the gorgeous resculpts they deserve. Those models that didn’t pass review will be discontinued immediately and will be resculpted and manufactured in high-quality resin. Models which passed review will be repackaged and updated for 2nd Edition, being resculpted and making the transition to resin only once the existing stock has been depleted. You can follow this link to find a complete list of which models will be discontinued, resculpted, or continue into Relic Knights: 2nd Edition.

Resculpts are not the only part of 2nd Edition! In 2016 Soda Pop and Ninja Division released a small sample of the new units coming to the Relic Knights universe. These models were only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. In addition to the original units from Darkspace Calamity, the 2nd Edition rulebook will feature two additional units per faction, and the Void Break expansion will feature four more new units per faction. The Prismatic sub-factions (Void and Radiant) will also receive a massive influx of new units allowing them to provide additional options to the six primary factions, but also the ability to be played as standalone cadres. More Darkspace units are also ready to join your cadres. This all combines to make Relic Knights: 2nd Edition a bonanza of exciting and breathtaking new models for fans of Relic Knights!
