I was trying to figure out how to better store and light my craft nook yesterday. I have multiple hobbies, so room can be diffcult to come by.

I have been focusing on painting so I can probably move some stuff out of the way....

My husband saw the concept art and knew I would be getting a bunch :)

Still waiting on my first KS.  While I hear the quality is phenomenal, I want them all in hand before I consider backing something else.

Well you're sort of in luck as apparently they're sending out the free minis to everyone that qualified them for free while the rest of the minis are being produced.

We hope that you'll love those minis.

We hope this bonus shipment will help you wait for your final shipment.

Maybe this will make you get out your paintbrushes.

Maybe this will make you want to support us again for our new Kickstarter.

No matter what, we value your trust in us and your continuing support, and we are so happy to have you be part of the Raging Heroes adventures.

Yeah I saw that, and started cussing, because not having minis in hand was a great Will save.

Since I win't be able to goto ReaperCon this year, I might kick a little of the stupid money I would have spent on RCon to this.

Hmmm, this is a maybe for me, I'm mostly interested in fantasy, and I guess I've just never been that big on dark elves. I'm sure they'll be a couple of pieces I'd like to have though, from what I've heard around here this is high quality stuff. Actually, it's interesting that everyone in this thread seems really pumped, but the homologous thread on Dakkadakka is filled with quite cynical 'this will not end well'-posts. So what were the problems with the previous KS? Delays? A lot of people still waiting on all of their stuff? Crappy communication?

Delays for the sake of quality.

I'm still waiting on two minis.  I'd happily trade them out for things that are already available though.  That or finish my army via retail.

Remember they see /everything/ through GW eyes. If the scale is off from WHFB/40k, it's trash. If it's not usable for either game's armies, trash.

They also tend to be unforgiving of just about any flaw, real or perceived; and less polite about expressing it. So while I applaud RH for taking their time, reworking the masters until they are the best they can be...there are a lot of folks over there that just want everything as fast as possible. I understand a lot of their complaints, I just don't agree with most of them; so they tend to be a community I avoid though I have a buddy I've known for years on another forum who is a long time member (and posts here with painted stuff sporadically).

One guy mentioned KD:M which is long delayed and I have zero problems with that because the delays have resulted in better quality and more stuff as Adam keeps tossing more stuff in while certain folks are idle.

IMO people who complain about the 'estimated delivery' as if it's some kind of meaningful thing need to stay away from KS (but they also want the 'deal' without the balancing factor of unknown production times).

They did a bunch of pre-launch promotion on Dakka before the first KS, promising launch dates which slipped, and slipped, and slipped (If I remember right the eventual launch was about 6 months after it was promised)

Then during the first KS they said 80% of the work was done (big mistake as clearly even discounting stretch goals this was not remotely true)

The had the Raging Herald program which was intended to use volunteers to collate info, spread the word to potential backer & generally help out, and signed up at least a couple of the major posters in the thread, then proceeded to generally ignore them

Plus promising updates 'tomorrow' or 'next week' but then not coming out with them for months

and even worse than normal KS lateness (the moving minis around waves hit some folk badly as they'd picked specifically to get fullfilled sooner rather than later, and ended up with stuff that had been moved to wave 3 which is still not done)

so there's a lot of cynicism over there (for example I knew the company and expected delays, re-do's on the  models and lots of general artistic faffing around, but the amount amazed even me),

but even with the cynicism there's not so much actual dislike, we generally know that the minis will (eventually) arrive and look great when they do.

I'm certainly backing again for at least some of this but probably not as heavily as last time (I like less of the concepts, and have less spare cash) but if you are not relaxed about your KS then I think this is one to seer clear of as you will get frustrated.

I fully expect any and all KS projects to be heavily delayed. Expect the worse and you will never be disappointed!

Thanks for filling me in on some of the Raging Heroes KS1 history guys; it's good to hear different views. As Bathory said delays I'm well accustomed to, and have no problem with per se.

I'm also wondering what they'll list as the delivery date. THAT more than anything else will tell me how much BS they're trying to peddle. If they have it listed too close, you know their full of crap. NO ifs, ands, or buts. You can sit here and talk about why the first one was late, but now that they definitely know all of the perils of a KS, especially a popular one, if they throw some bogus delivery date into there, it ain't going to be done on time.

      Announcing Relic Knights: 2nd Edition

Ninja Division Publishing and Soda Pop Miniatures are excited to announce Relic Knights: 2nd Edition and its first expansion Void Break. Relic Knights: 2nd Edition and Void Break will feature new and revised rules for the Relic Knights miniature skirmish game, a new 2-Player Starter, brand new units, beautiful new sculpts for many existing units, gorgeous new art, and exciting fiction continuing and expanding the Relic Knights universe. The Relic Knights: 2nd Edition Rulebook, 2-Player Player Starter, and Void Break expansion book will be launched through Kickstarter in the last half of February, 2017.

      2nd Edition Rules
The 2nd Edition rules are an evolution and refinement of the Relic Knights 1.5 rules which were released in downloadable form in 2016. The new rules continue to feature Relic Knights’ unique card-based mechanic where players manage a hand of esper to initiate powerful attacks and actions; as well as the ready queue mechanic where you must carefully plan your units’ order of activation to maximize their potential and impact on the game.
Units are now organized into two categories, Heroes and minions. Whenever a Hero is activated they may also activate a minion, allowing these units to perform their vital battlefield roles, without taking space in your ready queue. Unsurprisingly, the mighty Knights with lead your cadres are powerful Heroes, who are instrumental in unlocking your entire cadre’s full potential.
Every unit in Relic Knights will be completely updated, with many units acquiring brand new upgrade options, such as special weapons, alternate gear, and unique abilities, allowing players to customize their cadres to their specific playstyle. An upgrade deck will be available (and included for free in Kickstarter pledges) for veteran players to be able to quickly and easily update their existing collection to 2nd Edition

      Beautiful New Models
Soda Pop and Ninja Division are committed to making Relic Knights a stunning visual experience on your gaming table. As part of that commitment the studio has taken a hard look at the entire Relic Knights range of plastic miniatures to determine which models meet our standards for quality, and which must be retired and given the gorgeous resculpts they deserve. Those models that didn’t pass review will be discontinued immediately and will be resculpted and manufactured in high-quality resin. Models which passed review will be repackaged and updated for 2nd Edition, being resculpted and making the transition to resin only once the existing stock has been depleted. You can follow this link to find a complete list of which models will be discontinued, resculpted, or continue into Relic Knights: 2nd Edition.

Resculpts are not the only part of 2nd Edition! In 2016 Soda Pop and Ninja Division released a small sample of the new units coming to the Relic Knights universe. These models were only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. In addition to the original units from Darkspace Calamity, the 2nd Edition rulebook will feature two additional units per faction, and the Void Break expansion will feature four more new units per faction. The Prismatic sub-factions (Void and Radiant) will also receive a massive influx of new units allowing them to provide additional options to the six primary factions, but also the ability to be played as standalone cadres. More Darkspace units are also ready to join your cadres. This all combines to make Relic Knights: 2nd Edition a bonanza of exciting and breathtaking new models for fans of Relic Knights!

      About this project

A long time ago, in the fantastical land of Farenhell, the enigmatic city of Gormalak endured its darkest hour. Change came to this grand and sprawling city as the walls moved to reveal a giant network of underground passages and endless galleries. And so this labyrinth, known only as Infragorma, gave up its secrets … and its denizens. A myriad of creatures burst forth from this subterranean maze and sought Gormalak’s destruction. That dark age, filled with war and magic, honour and treachery, would be remembered as the Circle of Blood: a time where the great heroes and brotherhoods of Farenhell fought for the future of Gormalak.
The city of Gormalak is the most ancient of all in the Great Continent. Erected by an extinct wizard lineage, the wise and powerful Gordmunds, it grew over the centuries in admiration and respect to the point of becoming an ambitious and arrogant city. The sacred government council, known as the Paradox, was formed by the seven elderly wizards, who declared one day, war onto the most powerful and influent nation, known as the Mountsea. This strong human empire wouldn’t ignore the wizard’s insolence and counterattacked with a bloody and atrocious battle that condemned both, Gormalak and wizards, to the absolute forgetfulness. After several centuries, the deserted city was discover by a few wanderers that decided to gradually reconstruct walls and silent alleys, making its streets flourish and become full of life once again. The ancient Gormalak was then established as the City State of Gormalak, a new power that even great kingdoms respected and it has remained so since.

Circle of Blood is a miniature game that reproduces tactical battles of two or more squads of Adventurers called Brotherhoods. The players are in charge of a group of brave heroes or villains that come from different regions of Farenhell. These unalike Adventurers will have to defend the city from the dark events which surround it, or maybe take advantage of this chaos to provoke terror and crimes during the missions created by this game.
