I was trying to figure out how to better store and light my craft nook yesterday. I have multiple hobbies, so room can be diffcult to come by.

I have been focusing on painting so I can probably move some stuff out of the way....

My husband saw the concept art and knew I would be getting a bunch :)

Still waiting on my first KS.  While I hear the quality is phenomenal, I want them all in hand before I consider backing something else.

Well you're sort of in luck as apparently they're sending out the free minis to everyone that qualified them for free while the rest of the minis are being produced.

We hope that you'll love those minis.

We hope this bonus shipment will help you wait for your final shipment.

Maybe this will make you get out your paintbrushes.

Maybe this will make you want to support us again for our new Kickstarter.

No matter what, we value your trust in us and your continuing support, and we are so happy to have you be part of the Raging Heroes adventures.

Yeah I saw that, and started cussing, because not having minis in hand was a great Will save.

Since I win't be able to goto ReaperCon this year, I might kick a little of the stupid money I would have spent on RCon to this.

Hmmm, this is a maybe for me, I'm mostly interested in fantasy, and I guess I've just never been that big on dark elves. I'm sure they'll be a couple of pieces I'd like to have though, from what I've heard around here this is high quality stuff. Actually, it's interesting that everyone in this thread seems really pumped, but the homologous thread on Dakkadakka is filled with quite cynical 'this will not end well'-posts. So what were the problems with the previous KS? Delays? A lot of people still waiting on all of their stuff? Crappy communication?

Delays for the sake of quality.

I'm still waiting on two minis.  I'd happily trade them out for things that are already available though.  That or finish my army via retail.

Remember they see /everything/ through GW eyes. If the scale is off from WHFB/40k, it's trash. If it's not usable for either game's armies, trash.

They also tend to be unforgiving of just about any flaw, real or perceived; and less polite about expressing it. So while I applaud RH for taking their time, reworking the masters until they are the best they can be...there are a lot of folks over there that just want everything as fast as possible. I understand a lot of their complaints, I just don't agree with most of them; so they tend to be a community I avoid though I have a buddy I've known for years on another forum who is a long time member (and posts here with painted stuff sporadically).

One guy mentioned KD:M which is long delayed and I have zero problems with that because the delays have resulted in better quality and more stuff as Adam keeps tossing more stuff in while certain folks are idle.

IMO people who complain about the 'estimated delivery' as if it's some kind of meaningful thing need to stay away from KS (but they also want the 'deal' without the balancing factor of unknown production times).

They did a bunch of pre-launch promotion on Dakka before the first KS, promising launch dates which slipped, and slipped, and slipped (If I remember right the eventual launch was about 6 months after it was promised)

Then during the first KS they said 80% of the work was done (big mistake as clearly even discounting stretch goals this was not remotely true)

The had the Raging Herald program which was intended to use volunteers to collate info, spread the word to potential backer & generally help out, and signed up at least a couple of the major posters in the thread, then proceeded to generally ignore them

Plus promising updates 'tomorrow' or 'next week' but then not coming out with them for months

and even worse than normal KS lateness (the moving minis around waves hit some folk badly as they'd picked specifically to get fullfilled sooner rather than later, and ended up with stuff that had been moved to wave 3 which is still not done)

so there's a lot of cynicism over there (for example I knew the company and expected delays, re-do's on the  models and lots of general artistic faffing around, but the amount amazed even me),

but even with the cynicism there's not so much actual dislike, we generally know that the minis will (eventually) arrive and look great when they do.

I'm certainly backing again for at least some of this but probably not as heavily as last time (I like less of the concepts, and have less spare cash) but if you are not relaxed about your KS then I think this is one to seer clear of as you will get frustrated.

I fully expect any and all KS projects to be heavily delayed. Expect the worse and you will never be disappointed!

Thanks for filling me in on some of the Raging Heroes KS1 history guys; it's good to hear different views. As Bathory said delays I'm well accustomed to, and have no problem with per se.

I'm also wondering what they'll list as the delivery date. THAT more than anything else will tell me how much BS they're trying to peddle. If they have it listed too close, you know their full of crap. NO ifs, ands, or buts. You can sit here and talk about why the first one was late, but now that they definitely know all of the perils of a KS, especially a popular one, if they throw some bogus delivery date into there, it ain't going to be done on time.

      About this project
This is a campaign to fund the launch of a set of 28mm Shambling Mound models for RPG and tabletop games. I have sculpted two adult Shamblers and a young Shambler. Initially the two adults will be offered for the campaign.
If we are able to hit the £1000 stretch goal for the campaign it will unlock the Young Shambler miniature.
If unlocked this figure will be added FREE to all backers.
This is a World Wide campaign with the postage as follows:
United Kingdom 4GBP, Europe 5GBP and Rest of the World 6GBP.
      Campaign Rewards.
      There are 3 reward levels.
Supporter. If you would like to back the campaign without receiving any of the rewards you can use this pledge level.
Lone Shambler! Choose this pledge if you would like one of the two Shambling Mould models. Choose from either SM 1: Shambler Walking or SM 2: Shambler Attacking.
Double Trouble! Choose this pledge level if you would like both SM 1 and SM 2 Shambling Mound sculpts.
      The Models.
The Shambling Mound models will be cast in high quality grey resin. They have been designed to fit on either a 40mm square or round base.

SM 2: Shambler Attacking is a two part model and will need assembly. Use superglue to attach seperate arm.
      Stretch goal!
We start the campaign with this initial stretch goal to aim for. If we get to the goal of £1000 the the Young Shambler will be unlocked and added FREE to all pledges. Additional Young Shambler models can be added for £2.

      Who Are we?
Antediluvian Miniatures are new company producing an ever expanding range of 28mm miniatures for the war gamer, collector and role player. You can see our existing miniatures at www.antediluvianminiatures.com
      The Plan.
We would like to add to our ever expanding range of unique and unusual figures by producing this range of Medieval Devils and Demons inspired by the freakish illustrated manuscripts of the medieval period!
These figures are sculpted by Andrew May ( Demons ), Ian Mountain ( Witch ), and Jo Brumby ( Terrence the Goat ). We think these will be great fun and an unusual addition for fantasy wargames, skirmish and role playing games. There are all 28mm scale, cast in metal- they will come with plastic bases supplied.

If the campaign goes well we have some extra characters and a potential terrain feature we'll add in as stretch goals and freebies.

More details of the pledges and locked figures are below.
      What do you get.
all the are figures metal cast and supplied with bases. Figures are 28mm scale.

      About this project
Because the best bits of your miniature collection are the bits you sculpt yourself
We want to put a special BASIUS COMMUNITY pad in the hands of every tabletop gaming club in the world
Since launching our first BASIUS Kickstarter project (now known as BASIUS ONE), thousands of gamers have used BASIUS to aid & develop their sculpting skills as well as customise & awesomify* their miniature collections. During this time we have had to move BASIUS out of the garage and into the Industrial Estate!  The BASIUS team has grown since then, and now includes the same family of four sculpting gamers that created BASIUS all those years ago and the family of experienced casters at History Craft.
We now have ten complete collections of 12 themed 50mm square BASIUS pads prototyped. Some are favourites from previous Kickstarter projects, some have been altered and updated, and the rest are brand new. We need your help to fund their creation on an industrial scale!
      COMMUNITY
Community is important - in gaming, just like in the rest of life.
We love gaming with our friends in our local geek-hobby store and we initially met many of our friends purely because of that community. Friendly gaming clubs and hobby stores that go out of their way to host gaming communities are awesome, and we want to help to increase that community awesomeness.
Kevin Jackson, from the online community, sent us this photo showing how he based his miniatures using BASIUS It stands to reason that if a person wants to do something positive for others in life then it's best to do something they are actually good at, and feedback from all four of our previous BASIUS projects has shown us that we have become rather good at BASIUS-ing**.
      OUR GOAL
With this focus of community being central to what BASIUS has become, our goal for this latest Kickstarter is quite a big one... Alongside the release of our 10 themed BASIUS collections, we want to provide every tabletop gaming club in the world with a special BASIUS COMMUNITY pad, so that all gamers can use it and help each other to use it, to develop their own and each other's sculpting.

      WE NEED YOU
It would be awesome if every gamer & hobbyist reading this... in every town worldwide, could pledge to get hold of a pad or two in this kickstarter, make some bases with them, show their sculpting to their gaming club and ask their club chairperson to contact us to get a BASIUS COMMUNITY pad for their club.
Tyler, from the online community, kindly sent us this photo. These base textures are made using just BASIUS, 'Green-Stuff' and paint - thats it.

      About this project
Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom III
They're back! More delvers lost in the Dungeons of Doom! This time they're hunting The Dragon!
A party ready for your next dungeon crawl! Heroic scale fantasy miniatures, sculpted by hand and cast in metal, for your roleplaying and tabletop games. I have enjoyed sculpting these adventurers and I would love to share them with you!
The funding from this Kickstarter will pay for the moulds and casting of at least 8 new miniatures. Legendary Hero pledge backers will unlock more miniatures as Stretch Goals from 5k onwards. Reaching 10k funding will unleash The Dragon! which will be made available as an Add-On.
