Yeah, there's a different Darth Vader quote I've been hearing in my head, but spoken by Bryan, which makes me giggle.

I'm pretty sure he's not Luke's father....

I know that I'm nobody special, and you have no reason to listen to me, but everyone please relax. I'm sure Reaper is doing the best they can; a month from now everyone will be playing with their new toys ( or at least waiting for their local mail carrier to drop off a large parcel on their doorstep ).

In the grand scheme of things, there really isn't anything to get all worked up about.

Now, everyone go sit in a corner, gently massage your earlobes and repeat after me:

woo-saa

One thing I have noticed living in the US is that people here really do not have the same patience that I am accustomed to.  I can understand people being frustrated however.  I suppose I am just used to things taking a long time to arrive.  Most of the time, any products ordered from online back home required international shipping and it was not cheap to expedite materials. I can also understand how people want to be kept up to date and are eager to get their money worth.

Just to reiterate, few people are complaining because they lack the patience to wait for their stuff.  They're complaining because they were told "I'm ten miles away.  I'll call you when I get into town and let you know the plans."  Two hours later, they're still waiting for the call.

Not trying to get anyone mad or anything especially since I am not invested in this KS but it seems like everyone is worked up to just open their box of minis and stick it on the shelf.

Is anyone truly waiting for their new Bones to start painting?

I really want to be on the next KS but not sure I have the patience.  I get antsy when I have to wait more than a week for something off the Bay of E.

Right.  We also got " We're pulling and shipping, but the information we wanted to have for the Update isn't available. Sorry for the delays" but that has just confused more people because we heard Canada folk getting emails from Waves other than 1.  With nothing else being said it is just making people freak out over things that are so small in the grand scheme of things.  We know our stuff is there.  We know they began to do something with it. We know it will be in our homes soon.

I am just awaiting official notice on what is happening now so I can stop refreshing every 15-20 min. :)

Just a tip to keep the conversation civil - it is almost never productive to dismiss peoples' concerns as meaningless.

With my work schedule of being home for a week, then away for a week, I always have a 50% chance that my package will arrive when I'm not home. Now if this takes anywhere between 12 and 18 days, I'll be home!

What's interesting is that this is a long weekend in Canada, and it's unlikely that out shipments will cross the borders this weekend, so Canadians will be saved from the additional holiday wait! Though for others, May 29th is Memorial Day in the US, and though Reaper may have the bulk of orders done, they may not be complete by that day.

Heh, no matter what the real problem is, I am just going to blame Customs...

As in 'Customs took all the packages out of their boxes, then repacked them in the wrong boxes'

'Customs accidentally swapped containers on us'.

'Someone shipped Haggis in the same container, and now Customs tells us that the whole shipment has to be destroyed'.

All of which are problems that have actually happened.... (Including when the bits and pieces for a castle shipped over from Europe being repacked in the wrong crates... so no one knows which bits and pieces go where... for an entire castle....)

This is more like a Christmas morning thing.

And once received, it becomes a post-Halloween bag inventory thing.

There are a few that I'm waiting for to use in a game.  Some of the terrain pieces....Goremaw....They will likely be used before they are painted...They might get a base coat....maybe....Hmm I should buy more brown liner...And blue...I might need a lot for that worm...

Mayne this will placate some of you:

i am a wave 1 backer from Canada and just received a notice from UPS. In short, Reaper has passed on my information to UPS and this might mean a handful of things:

1) Reaper is just printing the shipping labels, but not shipping mine yet

2) Reaper is already working on wave 1 fulfillments and is shipping mine

3) Something went horribly wrong and I can't fathom what

Take it as you want. But at the very least my shipping labels are now ready. You don't do that unless you're close to shipping.

UPS prints it own labels for tracking.
Which means if individual people are getting notices.  That means UPS has possession of the packages.  BUT they have to be broken down and sorted.  So while the packages might be in UPS hands they are still at the hub.

Reaper part in this if you saw the big pallet picture on their website.  That is how the packages are transferred or picked up by UPS.

The only question remain is.  Are they in Canada now?  Or are they still in the US...

My Nephew and I discussed this at length last night as he works for UPS.

Their last Kickstarter (Dwarves) was full of great, characterful sculpts and delivered very much on time. This here seems a worthy successor (look, Beagle, no Dwarves):

Balalaika Maiden: The Gardariki Trade Caravans always include entertainers, poets and the like as well as the more pecuniary-inclined. When the day’s work is done, they string up a tune to entertain at the banquet table.
Set 01 – Market Women: Although the actual Fair focuses on the trade of commodities and precious goods from near and far, supplies for daily life in the bustling town is provided by the peasants and small craftsmen from the city’s bailiwick. In many cases, it is the women who man the stalls and wander the market square proffering their goods.
Set 02 – No time to chat!: As the market opens, there is always a jostle for the best spots. No time for a friendly chat then, although once the hunting grounds have been staked out, call and chatter fills the various market areas.
Set 03 – Georg von Würstenberg, Master of the Butchers’ Guild: Formerly a mere butcher, Georg von Würstenberg made his way to the top of the prestigious Butchers’ Guild, his paunch equalling his influence and power. Some say that, along the way, various rivals ended up in his product, but not to his face! Wherever he goes, he is announced by his herald, Peter Pfefferbeis.
Set 04 – Guardsmen of the Butchers’ Guild: The Guilds of Bruegelburg always vie for the prime spot in the City Council, and many are not above using nefarious means to advance their own position. Hence, prominent Guild members are escorted by armed guards, who also make up militias policing various areas of the town where the Town Guards cannot or will not go.
Set 05 – Patricians: The richest and most powerful merchants of Bruegelburg are commonly called “Patricians”, and it is they who head the various factions in the City Council. As the Fair opens, they can be seen ambulating across the Grand Hall, sampling wares and making deals.
Set 06 – Country Nobles: The City of Bruegelburg is surrounded by various small villages and fiefs, some loyal to regional potentates, some allied with the city. The heads of these fiefs invariably visit the city for the great Fair to see and be seen.
Set 07 – Paupers of Bruegelburg: At the bottom of the social ladder, a teeming mass of paupers and beggars, pickpockets and thugs makes a living in the meaner parts of town. As the market opens, they venture forth to profit from charity and carelessness, respectively.
Set 08 – A Word in Jest: Entertainment is a key aspect of the Market Day, and Jesters from near and far are happy to provide. Just don’t forget to guard your purse as you watch their antics on the stage!
Set 09 – A jesting Tjost: An increasingly popular pageant in recent years is the “Jesters’ Tjost”, a parody of the grand tournaments that hail back to the great days of knights long past, with the entertainers striving for the most amusing way to “unhorse” each other and poke fun at their betters.
Set 10 – Days of Childhood: Market Day is a welcome diversion from the often dull and dreary life of kids in Bruegelburg, and gaggles of children can be seen everywhere.

Looks like Twisted is coming out with a kickstarter!

      AND IT'S LIVE!
We've seen quite a few of them painted up on the forum, very cool steampunk figures. The company is owned/operated by Sebastian Archer who also owns/sculpts for his other brand (Guild of Harmony). I've ordered a few GoH figures in the past and Sebastian always gets the figures out from Australia to the US very quickly.

Some of the figures from Twisted -

Looks like plastic mecha are all the rage. Between Robotech and CAV I'm going to be up to my ears in mecha...but the idea of gears that don't cost an arm and a leg may be too much to resist. Don't know that I'll go big on this one, probably one of the army boxes or a $1 pledge with some add-ons. These aren't likely to be used with their game so I'm not looking to get more than handful, definitely not more than say, 20.

Says starting in October, not sure when though.

      About this project

Thank you for taking the time to check out Divinity: Original Sin 2, our biggest and most ambitious RPG to date!
A couple of quick facts about the game:
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a single- and multiplayer top-down, party-based role-playing game with pen & paper RPG-like levels of freedom. It features turn-based combat, a strong focus on systematic gameplay and a well-grounded narrative. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Divinity: Original Sin, winner of over 150 Game of the Year awards and nominations. Winner of GameSpot’s “PC Game of The Year 2014â€. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is currently in development for PC in English. Subtitles will be available in German, French, and Russian. Other platforms and languages may be announced at a later stage, once development is more advanced.
The theme of Divinity: Original Sin 2 is how your origins affect who you are and what chances you get in life.
At the start of the game, you pick a single character and determine your starting stats, race, and origin story.

You'll be able to recruit up to three companions, each of whom is just as detailed as the character you're playing, with their own origin story and motivation to help you in your quest.
This makes it possible for each companion to become a player character in multiplayer mode; every party member is equally important to the whole.

In multiplayer, up to 4 players can play together, either cooperatively or competitively.
During competitive questing, you’ll pursue different plot-lines from other players, often because your personal motivations are in conflict with those of the party.
To loot or not to loot: You'll have to argue, reason, or duke it out.
There's no obligation to compete, of course. Many party members will manage to balance their own interests with those of the party. Should you find yourself in conflict, know that it's always possible to make up afterwards.
The important thing here is that it's you who gets to make that choice.
