Looking good SIR! Gold armor! My favorite!

Thanks Arc, that gold armor is tricky to photograph that is for sure !

Thanks Malefactus !  I've noticed that my brushwork has gotten tighter, freehand was fun !

Just nerve wracking with a 0000 W&N brush.

Shiny! I love the freehand on the shield.

Thanks Mierot;

One of these days I need to experiment with a paint additive to help using a liner

brush (which I don't have yet).  Freehand is a nice challenge.

GREAT JOB JAY!

The freehand, the highlights, the base, it all looks fantastic!

Thanks Ub3r,

Just trying to put things together and make a pleasing unity.

You were right though, I was having a blast working out all the challenges.

Nicely done jay, the gold armor really pops and you did a real nice job on the green cloak

I can't recommend the mini enough.

its dynamic, and the opportunity for choice of color, and highlighting is terrific.

I was thinking originally of doing gunmetal blue with gold, or gunmetal gray with gold for the armor.

Maybe tinting gold with pink, yellow, or orange to provide contrasts.

Thanks again.

Hi everyone, here is this weeks Critter DSM8079, Nom the Cat Paladin. This two-parts model was sculpted by David Summers for Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms - Anthropomorphic Animals line. I painted it with acrylics before gluing the sword it's holding. It was very easy to assemble.

Hi all, here is this week's Critter. The details on this model are beautiful. The pineapple is nice wink to the Earl of Dunmore and the Scotland culture. I may need to paint a strap to hold these three vials in place. DSM8110, Scottish Fold Cat Cleric with Warhammer was sculpted by David Summers for Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms Anthropomorphic Animals line. It's a three-piece model and I've painted the shield and hammer before gluing them to the body.

Hi everyone, here is my latest Critter, Frankie the Rogue. I like the bohemian appearance of this model. I'd say the bardic way of life came naturally for this Siamese Cat.
This two-piece model is DSM8104, Frankie Cat Rogue with Dagger from Dark Sword Miniatures, Critter Kingdoms, Anthropomorphic Animals range. It was sculpted by David Summers. I painted the cape and the body separately before gluing them together.

I Don't have much to go on with this dragon.  its another one that has been sitting half finished on my shelf forever.  the bottom has some script on the bottom that looks like FWS and an 8.  other than that I don't have any clue where it comes from.

but I finally dusted the mini off, freshened up the red (It was becoming a pink dragon) and decided to display it here.  hope everyone enjoys!

What else to finish off the month of January but another dragon from my shelf of shame?  This is Ollie.  Ollie is from Impact miniatures and is supposed to be a mascot for one of the bloodbowl teams.  Tom Acquired the license to produce him and I got a copy.  I used him to test a number of different red effects and styles while working on another, bigger dragon.  The skills may not have panned out like I wanted but Ollie still came out pretty well and deserved to be finished and shown off.  Pictures are still with a phone camera but at least I got to my light box!  So without further ado:
