Vulture Demon 02532 (Vrock, Type I Demon)

Recommended Posts

Finally finished this guy!

He was stalled by a lack of paints that I needed, but they came in yesterday, and I got busy!

Would have liked to do better with the feathers, but after the third re-try, I left well enough alone.

My wife calls him a Skexie...

The SC75 metals were awesome for his pauldron, and other pieces, and did well for all his clothes...

Base is pretty simple, a few Silflor tufts of 'dead' grass, some fine Gray Ballast, and some Fine Turf earth tone to go around the rocks, skulls, and bones...

Comments welcome!

Very nice work! The flesh of his body's truly icky, and I rather like the bright wings.

I really like how the vulture bare skin turned out.

THANK YOU BOTH!

If you mean the head / neck skin, it is GW flesh paints layered form dark to light.

Tanned Flesh, Dwarf Flesh, Bronzed Flesh, and Elf Flesh.

Finished Cthulhu on Saturday, I think I'm learning to overcome my fear of highlighting too far, I still didn't go as light as people said I should. Some say you can go practically to white, but I am very hesitant to try that. I think I've made progress though. C&C welcome!

Here my latest work. I keep trying and trying with black: highliting black. I tried with blue for a while till I was quite happy with it, and now I’m trying with grey which is more difficult... it does show here, since it completely reads as grey skin but oh well, it’s still a job I’m happy with.
That’s Be’lakor, one of the finest demon figures ever made by any manufacturer. First chaos everchosen, first mortal to ascend to demonhood, blessed and cursed, the lord of the dark...

Something I painted for a friend. This is tiefling #2 of 5 so far. Hoping that before he starts the new campaign that players may pick as their characters.

This is an old Mage Knight figure that I slightly converted and repainted. He was holding a comically undersized flail in his left hand, so I cut it off and replaced it with a halberd from an old GW Chaos Warrior I had in my bits box. After that, it was just a matter of repainting him for use on the tabletop. He'll make an interesting BBEG in some game I haven't created yet.

      Thanks for looking.

These are 3 little imps/demons that I pulled off the melt table at Reapercon last year. I'm not sure of manufacturer, so if you recognize them, please let me know. I think they may be from a 15mm figure range.

I bashed these guys out over he course of a couple evenings about a week ago. Thanks for looking.
