Which one is "you"?

Dwarf wizard on the circular platform.

Joda the monk is the dead one to the far left, behind the tail. The dead Hex blade is on the platform with me. The other Hex blade and the alchemist are the two standing way far away. The lizard man is some sort of fish person, and the red and yellow disks were mind controlled merrow.

Playtested my Historicon game at our club meeting last night.  It's a fantasy battle using a new Dark Ages/Fantasy supplement for the Combat Patrol skirmish rules.   A Dwarven treasure caravan is camped in a small hamlet for the night and are attacked at dawn's light by by a group of Orcs, Goblins. and Trolls. Oh, My!

Lots of Bones in play!

I should have a full report and more photos posted on my blog later this week.

Played Swords and Wizardry at Free RPG day, which was okay. The DM wasn't very good... and the store didn't actually get the Free RPG Day books to give out, so... I'm grumpy about the whole experience.

:grr:

I could have spent the afternoon painting.

We had the 6th game of our Frostgrave campaign today.  We did the Blood Totem scenario from the core rulebook.   My hard luck crew had their best outing yet.  Full report and more photos to follow later this week.

Some of my favorite recent gaming experiences was S&W at ReaperCon. I love the system but I also remember why I like the modern systems as well, more options. Helps the GM was very good at the game (& a friend too).

Tried Gaslands again last night, did demolition durby this time. Worked a bit better than death race did. Took 2nd again.

Game came down to a head on ram between my snow plow, and a car. I rolled badly and my plow exploded. The explosion wrecked the other car, which then also exploded. But he did survive slightly longer than me, and won.

Also forgot to take a picture. Going to try the zombie scenario in 2 weeks.

Thought it was time to dust off this old thread, and move it back to page one. ::):

We played our July “Ghost Archipelago” campaign game today, and had 6 of our regular players in attendance.  Besides my Heritor almost getting kidnapped by a boat full of the enemy  , it was a fun game and full of much carnage and glory.  Full report to follow in a couple days!

My younger son was in town (from grad school) for a short visit this weekend. We got in a couple of games of Hordes of the Things with 1/72 scale plastics...

I don’t know how well it will show, but his undead chariots and flying carpet are some amazing bits of freehand work.

I love those chariots!

And the carpet. that's freehand?

Awesome!

Yes, freehand. The actual carpet started life as a piece of a manila folder.  I trained them initially, but both sons have an artistic flair which I attribute to my ex-wife’s genes, and which I can’t match.

Generally, though, having kids who are in the hobby has been as great as one might imagine.  It looks like schedules next year will allow us to get William back to Gencon with us, after a year in which school activities made it impossible.

Played more "gaslands" tonight. Tied for last in death race.

Eventually one of the people in the group will notice the pattern. Every time he does something early on that makes it impossible for me to win. So I spend the rest of the game hunting and killing his whole team. He tied for last place with me.

The “water” looks pebble infested. Or bubble ridden. [?] It is interesting whatever it is. Do explain.

Does Eberron have non-standard, exotic, oceans?  Not very familiar with the setting. The stand up trees are nifty as well. Where do those come from?

I used my Antimatter games underwater mat to represent the swamp my players were in.

The trees are WorldWorks Games papercraft trees.
