Anyone else following this? Its from CMON, and uses similar system to Zombicide. Its a dungeon crawl with characters that level and get skills.

Kickstarter coming end of this month.

Some pics of minis and what not have popped up today from CMON expo. I dont want to repost from other news sites but if you search there are some nice pictures of the models. I really like the evil gnome/dwarf looking guys.

Yeah, they did.

I wonder how it differs from this new project?

I didn't back that, by I was intrigued. I'll keep an eye out on this thread for more info.

This seems more campaign based then casual 1 off games..

"The game is a modern-style Dungeon Crawl game. It will have all the popular fantasy tropes in terms of monsters. Goblins, Demons, Spiders, Kobolds, and on and on. There is a massive drive toward coming out with lots of different monsters. That will increase the replayability of the game, as each time you can play through with different monsters that you will fight. You can tailor-make your game to what you want to fight. There is no “GM-Player†required. It’s entirely cooperative. During the course of the game, your character will progress not only during the game, but also during the entire campaign system."

What Guillotine said was that the Zombicide rules were their starting place, but there have been numerous changes creating an entirely different game.

I rather like having kickstarters due.... It makes for several surprise gifts to myself throughout the year. Yes I would prefer something to ship when its supposed to, but suddenly getting a notice that I am getting a big order of minis in in July out of the blue, is really fun and exciting... So, I don't mind backing a new project when an old one has not completely fulfilled. Only from companies that I am positive will fulfill though. Like Reaper, or CMON and a handful of others. If Reaper decided to do legendary encounters right now... I would absolutely back.

I feel the same way for CMON... Although I don't think I have had a "as scheduled" delivery from them ever, They have always delivered and the end product is always nice.

So, My goal with this (as it is with most kickstarters with minis) is to get great minis to use in RPGS.... Though if this game is nice and captures my kids attentions (boy-13, girl 15) then so much the better. This month is gonna be tough though. Reaper pledge manager ending, New Warhammer quest looking awesome, and Massive darkness... The only thing that could be better (worse) is if A game of Thrones board game came out with faction specific warbands... I would have to get it though as a Lannister always pays his debts.

I don't know why, but the creepy gnomes in this are really drawing me in...

I have the single deckers, and really like them. After failing to fund last time, the designer hit some trade shows, lined up some other financing, and has relaunched the campaign for double decker caddies. I think these would be great for games like Gloom that with the expansions quickly outgrow their original boxes.

      About this project

Trio is born from my videogames experience, is born by my idea to create a variegated set that include different types of subjects including animals, armours, textiles and skins of various types. The busts of this campaign are all handsculpted by Alberto Acquaviva and me and all are in resin cast. Through this busts i want to show you how the wisdom can be beautiful and delicate, how the courage can be aggressive in front of a trial and how the power can corrupt your face...and your soul. All this collection busts are composed just by one piece except Heero, the courage that is composed by three parts. The collection has been conceived to be easy to assemple and ready from the unboxing to be painted. Is a good trial for both beginners and veteran painters. You can play with colors, lighting effects or freehanding on open surfaces, on little details or animal mantles. So,I hope my project excites and involves you like it did to me. Thanks for reading. Below you'll find the description of all characters, their size and more details on this campaign.
Regarding the shipping costs there are two price ranges.
First range: shipping up to 4 figures, 5€
Second range: 5+ figures,10€ However be informed that the more models you'll purchase, the bigger will be the discount applied, so your shipping will be anyway cheap.

Looks like plastic mecha are all the rage. Between Robotech and CAV I'm going to be up to my ears in mecha...but the idea of gears that don't cost an arm and a leg may be too much to resist. Don't know that I'll go big on this one, probably one of the army boxes or a $1 pledge with some add-ons. These aren't likely to be used with their game so I'm not looking to get more than handful, definitely not more than say, 20.

Says starting in October, not sure when though.
