Given a choice to pick an animal companion would you choose:

A - A vicious armored wardog.

B - A huge bear

C - A Loyal fierce wolf

D - A large tiger ( green with yellow stripes is optional)

I do often look in just one more place after finding something, just to put the lie to the aphorism.

Is now the time when you are supposed to remind the frog wizard to state his phase as a question? ::P:

Of course he did. He's a barbarian, not a dummy.

C!

C?!? I could see maybe if it was a full pack, like our fellow WOOF brethren, but a single loyal fierce wolf? It's going to be eaten by the Tiger every time.  And the tiger should have white stripes with green eyes.  Just sayin'.  And I see that you are back on track by the time you got to 42!  Good job!

So, do you think we should always offer mandatory self-conversion before the punishment phase of Vogon Poetry?

The Three Color Challenge is the brain child of forumite (and CMPA member) skippen. The idea is to select a miniature, then select, or have someone else select, three colors with which to paint the figure. Black and White are added to allow for highlighting and shading and color mixing is allowed and encouraged. The idea is that by limiting the palette and maybe using colors that may fall outside of one's comfort range, something could be learned.

If you wish to participate in this challenge, please do! If you're struggling with colors and lack friends who are willing to give you opinions, look in the spoiler tag below. When it comes to picking the colors, the idea behind the colors isn't to pick strange combinations or to make this intentionally difficult based on the color choices. You'll find it hard enough to operate without proper flesh tones or metallic paints. I found it a good suggestion because I had to stretch myself and use some paints in combinations I wouldn't have otherwise. Overall, the point is to have fun!

I've really enjoyed reading all of the Ask Me Anything threads and getting to know people better, so I finally decided to start one of my own.

Feel free to ask me about anything: my likes, dislikes, past, present, future, family, footwear, etc. A silly question will likely receive a silly answer, and I reserve the right to respond to any question with cute cat pictures. Because if there's one thing this forum needs, it's more cute cat pictures.

Having a hard time getting started back up on my keeper's sanctum diorama... I think I need to purposely take a break from it and work on some other stuff to get my creative juices flowing again. I have this idea in my head for a 75mm diorama featuring black sun miniatures' "Barbarian and the Lost Princess" (Conan) vs SC75's "Brock the Wanderer"

I'm thinking in this piece that it will have Conan carrying the princess through a dungeon type setting and then Brock standing there in front of a doorway. I'm going to really pull from artwork that I admire in regards to barbarians such as Frazetta and Patrick J. Jones.

Right now I'm cleaning off the flash and mold lines, as soon as I do that, I'll wash everything and start to assemble as much as I can without causing issues during painting.

Mood and color scheme inspiration pic from Patrick J. Jones -
