Secret Weapon - Tablescapes Dungeons: Mines

Recommended Posts

I have locked in, and added my final funds. Locked and ready.

I am too...although unlocking more options in the PM could change my mind.

Two. The answer at this point is two of the newly offered stackers...to go with the four sets of 2" stackers I already pledged for.

I have 2 1/2 sets of the cavern Dwarven Forge terrain plus a couple of the add ons. I have been meaning to buy some elevation tiles for a while now.

I finalized my pledge yesterday, two base sets, one bridge set, and one each of the first two paint sets.  I'm still hoping for a painting guide that does not use an airbrush, lol.

They just posted a new update and things are still running on schedule. Can't beat that news. There was also a bit of a surprise about the original sculpts. I'm not a stickler for exact measurements but It's good they found and fixed it before the molds were made.

Because resin is imprecise, I made a point of checking every single master cast that we were sending to China -- and noticed that they were all just a wee, tiny bit off. And that's when I discovered that Klaus had done all of the work in MM, which was very close but not quite true to the inches conversion. This meant that every single piece required some additional sculpting.

I like the X Mini speaker in the shot. Bought some of those a few years back for gifts.

My current worry is if elevation tiles will bring the DF even over each other.

My hope is that they use the firmer bones plastic so the larger floor pieces don't warp. I have some of the Dwarven Forge 4x6" floors and they are prone to warping. My concern is that if they use the soft Bones material any floor piece larger than 2x2" won't want to sit flat.

I just happened to think of this today and finally locked mine in. I dialed it way back from where I thought I'd be (though still spent more than I really wanted) to what I thought would be essential for me:

Bridge Set x3

SW Core Set x2

Orc Warrens x1

Track Set x2

Tried mainly for broad strokes, I guess. I went back and forth on the risers but ultimately decided that for what I'll ever want at the table I'd be just as happy sticking something already sitting around the house underneath anything I want elevated.

Really hated passing on the paint and minis, as the deals were great, but.

I ended with:

SW Core Set x1

Track Set x2

Troll Hole Set x1

Orc Warrens x4

Bridge Set x4

2" Stacker Set x4

6" Stacker Set x2

I resisted the crystals and the track walls.

      From the Kickstarter page:
The Basius Max collection is a DOUBLE SIDED series of large solid purple resin pads, full of jaw-dropping hand-sculpted negatively recessed texture

Basius stamps are one of the most talked about hobby tools that I've never tried, mainly because they never seem to make it to retail.  This time I'm not letting frugality get in the way of awesome bases!

This is a second edition of a game that had some kickstarter success last year.  The project ends in about a week.  A solo game, for those long, lonely nights at sea.

No miniatures, although the price tag is pleasantly miniature in comparison with the bloated behemoths rampaging their way across kickstarter at the moment, devouring available funds.  I know nothing about this game except that the box undeniably very excellent and the custom dice look neat-o.

      Cheers.
