Fulfilling
Orc Warband 30mm Miniatures by GT Studio Creations

Some animal species have very different males and females.

There's even species where the female is larger and stronger than the males.

Most species with sexual dimorphism have the female as larger, since she's usually the one who carries and then cares for the offspring.

While I love the concepts and designs of these, they are just way too big to be orcs for any 28mm game that I play.

Now if we call them ogres we have something completely different and I may just jump in and get that beautiful female champion, what a physique she has been sculpted with, wow.

Latest update has the two main orcs as large scale versions as well as two more female orcs.

Ugh.

I'm going to be increasing my pledge. I just can't resist muscular orc chicks. I blame years of playing them in World of Warcraft.

Edit to add; I've been trying to figure out what the male orc reminds me of... 1990s comic books, like from Image. I think they had Wildstar or something like that? Or was it Wildcats? Maybe had a cartoon for a bit.

These female orcs look really nice. I like it. I especially like the pose of the axe-wielding one from update 7.

Looks like a pretty direct riff on Grom Hellscream to me...

I decided to pass on this. I really like the Female Orc champion, but she is too big... I know I would get her and do nothing with her... Oh well...

Haha, yeah just reminds me of the giant characters and I think top knots were a thing in the 90s as well.

I upped my pledge for the giant female orc, the two smaller and the rider since it looks like she will be unlocked soon.

Maybe time to change the tags as the PM is now open and they're getting ready to start shipping.

      About this project
      Welcome!
We would like to invite you to our first on Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign dedicated to miniatures! We made a few before on other platforms, but now we are also here with new models and recast offer for all old ones. All of miniatures presented below are compatible with Fantasy Battles: The 9th Age. However you can use them in any other game you want.
During our previous campaigns we showed our possibilities and strong orientation for reaching customers needs and vision of miniatures. Also projects presented in this campaign were started some time ago and developed with The 9th Age community to be as good as it was possible. Our very talented sculptors, artists and manufacturers are doing all their best to provide you with the best products possible. We have hope, and strongly believe, that you will enjoy what you see below.
Your support is very important for us. While we see that our products are still needed we will run future releases. So thank you in advance to give us that possibility.
      How our process look like:
      1. 3D sculpt

1b. 3D sculpt of alternative options (as option for bestsellers)
      2. Printing than casting resin models
      3. Professional painting (as special option)

All 3D sculpts has already been made. Most resin molds also. We need your help to invest in missing production molds and materials to finish all open projects. Also stretch goals will help us raise funds to make some alternative versions and options for our miniatures, which for sure you will also like as base versions.
      1. Sylvan Elves

In the most distant reaches of the world, magic still exists, embodied by spirits of the land, of the sky, and of every natural thing. As the great powers of Europe stretch their colonial empires further and further, they will inevitably lay claim to a place where spirits still hold power - and when they do, the land itself will fight back alongside the islanders who live there.

Spirit Island is a cooperative, settler-destruction strategy game for 1 to 4 players designed by R. Eric Reuss and set in an alternate-history world around A.D. 1700. Players are different spirits of the land, each with their own unique elemental powers, forced to defend their island home from colonizing Invaders spreading blight and destruction. Work with your fellow spirits and the native islanders to increase your power and drive the invading colonists from your island in this strategic area-control game.

This game was playtested at some of my Fourth of July parties, and though I haven't had a chance to play it yet myself, the game comes highly recommended.

The interesting bit here is that you play neither the Invaders nor the Inhabitants of the island, but the spirits trying to alter the balance of power in defense of the Inhabitants themselves.
