Thanks, George. The "light at the end of the tunnel" brings to mind an oncoming train with me also...yet another Great Minds Thingy.

There is something delightfully nuts about G.W's old plastic Night Goblins.

I am glad you enjoyed them, Wolf.

      See this post...

I just tried something new, but have talked about it here and there, about using Greenstuff to sculpt stuff that you want to paint, but  before assembly....

      It seems to work!

Can't seem to get it to quote across threads....

SO, SisterMaryNapalm came across some Beastes to stick into flower pots:

AND thought my Mushrooms would be just the thing to enliven his Mom's flower pots.
Here's where they stood as of Tuesday:

He wanted them to be somewhere between 10" to a foot. The BBQ skewers were just the thing:

The stems & eyes were done by Tuesday evening:

Losing a day to World Series Game 7, the green stuffing started earlier today:

More later...later being a nebulous term.

.."whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouse, and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet; and especially whenever my hypos gets such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off - then I account it high time"...to make some more Mushrooms....Ismail & I approach the problem differently

A few days ago, the symptoms began to appear. Now I that the end in is in sight, I'll post what I have been up to.
These Fellow already had their blanks made. SO it was just a matter of adding beads & green stuffing :

      ...
...that wasn't enough to snap the black mood; three larger ones were needed. First the Blanks:

...then the eyes (beads), & arms...somewhat more eye & arms then usual:

      ...the marvels of Mushroom dentistry:

      ...Stage I Green Stuffing:

...with Leo "Legs-don't-fail-me-now" Sizechek for a size check:

...AND Stage II Green Stuffing, capping of the sculpts:

      .

...once I figure how they will be used, they will be painted...stay tuned.

SO, The Spook started to manifest himself on my work bench on the first of September...or there's about.
He's the tall one off to the right. This is the plumber's epoxy head with bead eyes on the floral wire frame:

The plumber's epoxy spreads & The Spook starts to form:

      Slowly he turns green:

Next some associates, cronies, & such; a proper setting; AND then a base...although the order may vary as  attention wanders. Being Old offers a stream of excuses for gadding about.

There is something strange afoot at the Cemetery of St. Lascivious...stranger than normal if that is possible.

      "Did you hear something?"
"NO! And I didn't see it either!":

      ...over there something moved:

...It is coming to get us!:

There now that wasn't SO bad; now was it?
With the story told here is a better look at the Reaper:

      AND  with The Ritual:

...for continuity & size comparison. Sweet Dreams!
