But you spelled the name wrong......

That one took me a minute, Lol!  I was sitting here thinking, "No I didn't!"

There have been multiple times since I joined the forums where people have spelled it correctly in various threads......

I love the almost iridescent look you achieved with the wings, nicely done!

And don't worry, you didn't actually spell the dragon's name wrong. When someone posts using purple text, it means they're joking or being sarcastic. :)

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention that because you're photographing a black figure with a white background, it messes with the camera and causes the mini to look very dark and hides a lot of detail. A more neutral background, such as gray or beige, with more indirect lighting (no camera flash), would go a long way toward showing more of the detail on the dragon. Hope that helps! ^_^

Huzzah!

Thanks!  Trying the Ruby Red and Adamantium Black together really came out well, I thought

I figured it out after a frantic look at both the box that I had finally put in the trash and at the store link :)  (although the tip regarding purple text might help me out next time!

my only criticism is the lighting...can you take a picture without harsh lighting?

I tried a couple more - one with my phone's flash and a few without - part of the issue could always be that I'm using a phone camera :D

Much better.  I light the transitions even more when more visible.

The mix of natural and artifical light can cause some issues.  Try using indirect natural light or take pictures as night with artifical light.

Here's my final batch of new painted figures.
Bones Giant Centipedes.  A staple encounter for low-level adventurers.
Still inspired by Reign of Winter.  Sadly, Mr. Red got into the snow of Mr. Blue's base!
      Enjoy.

Here are some classic vermin for your viewing pleasure.
Still going along with the Reign of Winter theme, I wanted one wintry option.
The red one shading/blending got really washed out in the picture.  The recesses are splattered crimson, so much darker than this looks.
      Boy, are these eyes tiny!

Also to go along with our Reign of Winter campaign.
This is the BONES Winter Wolf.
I had the most fun with the eyes.
Some of the pics came out a little dark, despite 3 lights.
It must be a camera thing...

Whipped this Ghost King up while I was taking a break from writing up an adventure.  Blue is my favorite color, and I decided to dive in head first with all of my different blue paints.  This is the first time I have tried adding high lights on the cloaks, and I think it made a huge difference.  Critiques and advice welcome as always, especially advice on high lights.  Thanks in advance!

I painted this guy a while ago, and as soon as it was previewed in the Kickstarter, I was reminded of Slade from the old Teen Titans cartoon. His design worked really well as a basis for the paint scheme here.

The pictures were taken on the painting table, as I never really got around to taking some in the photo booth, unfortunately.
