You knew it was going to happen, didn't you....

My Oathsworn KS cam the other day, and I thought it might make a break from painting scales on Czaristikalian... (Nathavarr)

So I dremeled the center circle a bit to make all the inserts fit, attached the pieces to handles, and primed them black....

So it might not look like I did anything from the one example pic:

022.JPG.dc8fe6c08021a0eec1a9507d0cfd6033.JPG023.JPG.d0213cd214a895eb07e9f04c554e696f.JPG

But all of these got sprayed with GW Roughcoat, a textured spray paint, and then re primed with Duplicolor Sandable black primer...

More exciting pics tomorrow....

So lover the last couple nights, I went through my normal stonework drill:

Dry brushing GW

Stormvermin Fur

Codex Grey

Kommando Khaki

Fortress grey

Then daubing with different inks, in this iteration Blue, Green, and Red inks...

Then I would normally wash with diluted black ink, this time I used Secret Weapon Stone Wash.

So next will be dry brushing with GW:

Codex Grey

Kommando Khaki (Though I will be using VMC Khaki, as I ran out of GW...)

Fortress grey

VMC Stone Grey

Then DullCote....

Then there will be detailing of the pool, and pentacle, and maybe the runes in the stele....

So next up is flocking tufts for the "Altar" and Circle, some Green for the pool, and maybe, some SW Crushed glass for the Rune stones and pentacle....

Not sure of what colors to use for that....

Thoughts????

Are you going to add water effects to the slime pool? Either that or some Tamiya clear green/yellow might look cool to add shininess. These look great!

So, tufting and flocking happened....

001.thumb.JPG.e8941633c1fbaaf7e9b4d926c5af41a9.JPG002.thumb.JPG.9199fb287d739a70b3103bbea07098aa.JPG003.thumb.JPG.18230577389c756ffce3be5c6196c4e7.JPG004.thumb.JPG.c96547de30113df5ee55817747255f33.JPG

And the pentacle got water effects mixed with Inktensity inks, and sprinkled with crushed Glass Snow effect

005.JPG.7c16ef259a932186f6cdea2472f92a79.JPG006.JPG.495f5e22ee4deb564486e454c91b2bd4.JPG007.JPG.116e995da99d3bdbcdfad0774def77e5.JPG

There is some extraneous staining that I am trying to clean up....

The runestones got tufted and flocked, as well as the Inktensity /water effect / glass treatment

008.thumb.JPG.3d2b2af5c85130764f6c2bf9f798807a.JPG009.thumb.JPG.0c2221fc43f28736e44a832e81ad8968.JPG

I am debating adding a bit of straight water effect, and more crushed glass to try for a more 'glittery' look....

Thoughts?

so here is one of the runestones, with added water effect and crushed glass...

023.thumb.JPG.311740f470c5126a92d52b8f5854c696.JPG

I am going to give up on the idea of using the crushed glass as crushed gems for pentacles etc...

Couldn't fix the pentacle to my satisfaction, so it is is having a simple green spa day....
