Awesome pics!

I can see why this guy is running!

Let's hope the Wizard won't cast a spell to catch him or make him fall, those Muscle Shrooms look eager to "take care of him".

Thanks, X. I don't often get compliments on my photos...I'll tell The Camera: she'll love it.

You should see Leo running in terror in most all of the upcoming photos...hopefully.

Thanks for the kind reply, Guildenstern. I am glad you enjoyed the Gang.

The Muscle with the mace does have an evil grin though...there's a BWAHAHAHAHA being suppressed here.

The music this time as they all emerge is "Hall of the Mountain King". They are so great! Love all of the color and character that goes into your creations!

I hope that my stuff creates stories for the viewer. You add music to the mix & I have an opera...a comic opera, but an opera nonetheless.

Thanks for the kind reply. Pochi. I am delighted you like the Mushrooms.

Ditto. All the cap colors are pretty special on this group.

These are just wonderful, malefactus!  They may be my favorites so far, although its a tight race between them and the pumpkin heads.

(Oddly, I don't like either mushrooms or pumpkin...)

...that could be why you like the miniatures; i.e., you aren't looking at them as a food source.

I am delighted you like them both. Thanks for taking the time to say so, Jasper!

My box of figures from DSM for their Stephanie Law kickstarter came in. They're gorgeous.

Many of them are in multiple pieces and need assemble. These are too pretty for me to half-donkey assembly.

I have classic super glue. I have green stuff. What are your preferred methods to attach arms and whatnot so there aren't gaps and whatnot? How do you avoid slopping the superglue around swiftly before it hardens? Toothpicks perhaps?

Some of these joints are very fine, so I don't think I can really pin them. They aren't heavy, so that has to help, and they do have knobs/sockets in most cases. I'd really like to make sure that gaps are sealed, and things like that, so they appear smooth. If they're fragile, that's not the end of the world, since these are unlikely to be used for tabletop purposes.

This pack is all pewter, although I have a Kraken of Bones material that will need some guidance too. I generally have stayed away from assembly type figures in the past. Time to branch out!

      Help, pretty please?

.."whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouse, and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet; and especially whenever my hypos gets such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off - then I account it high time"...to make some more Mushrooms....Ismail & I approach the problem differently

A few days ago, the symptoms began to appear. Now I that the end in is in sight, I'll post what I have been up to.
These Fellow already had their blanks made. SO it was just a matter of adding beads & green stuffing :

      ...
...that wasn't enough to snap the black mood; three larger ones were needed. First the Blanks:

...then the eyes (beads), & arms...somewhat more eye & arms then usual:

      ...the marvels of Mushroom dentistry:

      ...Stage I Green Stuffing:

...with Leo "Legs-don't-fail-me-now" Sizechek for a size check:

...AND Stage II Green Stuffing, capping of the sculpts:

      .

...once I figure how they will be used, they will be painted...stay tuned.

    • By James-
Take it easy on me, this is just my seventh mini to paint with three of them being a set of identical orcs. First time trying green stuff any tips for improvements or things you think I did well would be much appreciated. Trying to figure out what worked and what didn't.

This is Archon the Aasimar Warlock and his familiar (which has yet to be named). He was taken as a youth by a fiend for his celestial blood. On the brink of corruption he was rescued by a paladin of the Raven Queen. The Raven Queen then took over his pact and he now serves her hunting those who would defy the natural process of death.

SO I had these two twigs mounted & primed for ages...well awhile at any rate. Since I did up a Tree with Attitude for a Fellow D.M. Craft Forumite, I thought I'd give the twigs the treatment:
Seen here on my Work Table, a once around The Trees:

      ...now to the closeups:

...the Hermit (Dark Hold Minion), all 10 mm of him:

...AND a couple of photos by the Witches' Shanty Town:

The Twins will probably be used as foreground pieces in a Spooky Woodland photo background thingy I'm planning. Hopefully, you'll be seeing more of the Lads/Whatever.

The combination of Gnoblar & Night Goblin produces a miniature perfectly suited for the downtrodden life style. I usually give them names like Beastly Burden. In this instance, it was pointed out to me that the Little Sufferer had quit an attitude AND a Big Club to back it up. The theme from The Marat/Sade started playing through my head; ergo, he became Robespierre.
To showcase him, he is seen hear on his journey to Heep's Place, renowned for it's mushroom distilled beverage, caverns, & bat poop farm...it's like a pilgrimage to the Jack Daniel's Distillery:

      ...I swear I heard something:

      ...from various angles:

...AND wandering off into the sunset:

For those unfamiliar with it, this is Heep's Mushroom Distillery, Bar & Grill. & Bat Poop Caves:

...there you have it...so to speak.
