Reaper Bones 77213

6 posts in this topic

The illustration for this dwarf depicts a figure with both arms raised,

the right arm holding what appears to be a scroll.

Yet the only one I have seen, has a lowered right arm holding what

appears to be an upside down hammer ?

Is the illustrated (2 raised arms) version available ?

The painted metal version shows the sculpt more clearly.  http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/thain/latest/03717#detail/IG_5917_1

I suspect that the right arm is a separate piece, and when the Bones version was assembled in the factory it was glued in a raised position.  If it comes that way, a soak in hot water will loosen it and it can be re-glued as you like.

Right arm is a hammer, that's simple enough. But I'm assuming that the left arm is holding a dwarven holy symbol/book of some sort.

The right hand is holding a hammer, and the left hand is holding a holy symbol. The right arm should be down, it looks like the version in the reaper gallery was assembled incorrectly.

But here's the part that confuses me - the hammer is definitely upside down compared to the metal version. How did that happen? I have the bones version right in front of me and it also has the upside-down hammer.

I decided he just need to hit something with the pick-axe end.. It didn't occur to me to flip it,

although I was modifying him in other ways - Armored Clerics always carry shields, IME.
