.."whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouse, and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet; and especially whenever my hypos gets such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off - then I account it high time"...to make some more Mushrooms....Ismail & I approach the problem differently

A few days ago, the symptoms began to appear. Now I that the end in is in sight, I'll post what I have been up to.

These Fellow already had their blanks made. SO it was just a matter of adding beads & green stuffing :

...

...that wasn't enough to snap the black mood; three larger ones were needed. First the Blanks:

...then the eyes (beads), & arms...somewhat more eye & arms then usual:

Thanks for the kind reply, X. I am glad you like them.

The eyes are raising the creepy bar.

Wow, these are amazing. Just last night I had an extra blob of green stuff left over and was wondering what to do with it. Now I know! Those sticks look really handy  for building on - what are they? They seem bigger than toothpicks.

Thanks for the kind reply, Pragma. I am delighted you like the stuff.

The smaller Mushrooms & the teeth are cocktail toothpicks. The larger Fellows are mounted on bamboo skewers; the kind used for shish kebabs. The skewers they use for pinwheel steaks are great for really large Mushrooms.

Left over green stuff & plumber's epoxy putty is how I started on the mushrooms & other stuff. Not being wasteful is creative in & of itself.

Cool, thanks. I will probably start off with toothpicks and see how it goes. My wife really hates mushrooms, so these will make great antagonists!

Have fun with it. If you have any questions, ask away.

...still lacking anything resembling ambition, I did a couple more Mushroom...I have a lot to do to make up for some I've recently given to friends on other fora.

These two are rather less involved. They are seen here with the others & Leo for a size check:

...a closeup of the fellow on the left:

AND the right. This Guy may wind up with a Siren Miniature Dwarf in a Tiki type mask:

...when I have extra green stuff from making faces, I use it for mushrooms. When I have leftovers from making Mushrooms, I do faces:

...waste not & stuff like that.

Thanks, X. A good morale boost is always appreciated.

The self satisfied one on the right is now part of a Siren Miniatures Masked Dwarf's base:

For those who don't get over to the Last Hurrah, this is how the Mushroom & Dwarf turned out:

There is something strange afoot at the Cemetery of St. Lascivious...stranger than normal if that is possible.

      "Did you hear something?"
"NO! And I didn't see it either!":

      ...over there something moved:

...It is coming to get us!:

There now that wasn't SO bad; now was it?
With the story told here is a better look at the Reaper:

      AND  with The Ritual:

...for continuity & size comparison. Sweet Dreams!

The crunch of heavy feet, a terrified scream, & a hardy "Hi Neighbor!", it's the Mutatant Mushroom (I'd like to add from HELL! here, but he's just ambling out of The Spooky Woods).
SO yet-another Mushroom to brighten your day & disturb your sleep; seen here with the source of the terrified screams strolling through the woods

...from a couple of different yet similar angles:

      ...watching from above:

      ...AND being watched right back:

..."if you go out in the Woods today"...I love theme music.

I was in the process of painting up a small horde of my Mushroom Folk when a group of them suggested a possible vignette...they didn't actually offer a suggestion; it was their appearance that did it...I think.
SO I did a few haunted tombstones, grabbed a Tree Beasty, made a base, AND took a LOT of photos which I will inflict on you momentarily.
The vignette brings to my mind the "stop the ritual" scenario from Mordheim, here is The Ritual that needs stopping:

...there now, that wasn't SO bad now was it?

My box of figures from DSM for their Stephanie Law kickstarter came in. They're gorgeous.

Many of them are in multiple pieces and need assemble. These are too pretty for me to half-donkey assembly.

I have classic super glue. I have green stuff. What are your preferred methods to attach arms and whatnot so there aren't gaps and whatnot? How do you avoid slopping the superglue around swiftly before it hardens? Toothpicks perhaps?

Some of these joints are very fine, so I don't think I can really pin them. They aren't heavy, so that has to help, and they do have knobs/sockets in most cases. I'd really like to make sure that gaps are sealed, and things like that, so they appear smooth. If they're fragile, that's not the end of the world, since these are unlikely to be used for tabletop purposes.

This pack is all pewter, although I have a Kraken of Bones material that will need some guidance too. I generally have stayed away from assembly type figures in the past. Time to branch out!

      Help, pretty please?

Take it easy on me, this is just my seventh mini to paint with three of them being a set of identical orcs. First time trying green stuff any tips for improvements or things you think I did well would be much appreciated. Trying to figure out what worked and what didn't.

This is Archon the Aasimar Warlock and his familiar (which has yet to be named). He was taken as a youth by a fiend for his celestial blood. On the brink of corruption he was rescued by a paladin of the Raven Queen. The Raven Queen then took over his pact and he now serves her hunting those who would defy the natural process of death.
