Oh my goodness! That is just beautiful!

I love the discolored scales, the iridescence on the wing membranes, everything.

I really like how this looks, and will very likely steal the paint scheme as well.  Fortunately I got the verdigris paint along with my Kyphrixis.  ^_^  Thanks for sharing!

Majestic is the word. The color scheme is flawless along with the blending and weathering.. Verdigris has been a great touch.. And oh, the wings.. awesome!

I like it. It has a lot of color variation, like you'd find in the skin a living creature.  It's interesting how you managed to merge metallic and organic looks together.

Here is my first completed mini. In all fairness to the poor barbarian, he has been a guinea pig. I used him to get my act together regarding a few techniques for other projects. Today I decided to bring him to to completion. All in all I'm just fine with how he turned out. Feels good to call something done.
On another level, this little dude has sent me into a barbarian collecting frenzy. I have some cool figs waiting for paint now.

      This afternoon's experimenting.

I had originally intended to try and create a red-colored metallic by mixing or glazing, but had already laid a red basecoat and the technique I wanted to try started with a metallic basecoat, so I decided to just experiment with some other techniques I'd watched. I really admire some of the space marine/robot jobs folks do, but don't have any minis of that sort and thought some of what I'd seen would apply well to Ragnaros's really segmented-looking armor. I had a lot of fun with this guy, I might end up stripping him, or just buying a few more.

While I've been relatively inactive, my lovely wife has not.  She's been working on a selection of figures some of which in my admittedly biased opinion are much better than anything I've ever done >.>

      77265 - Drys, Dryad
I love this figure and the paint job is so subtle.  The shading on the greens is superb - unfortunately, I'll have to work out how to link the front again : ) EDIT - front of dryad:  https://goo.gl/photos/1FRcQ5ZqZoqGt3dCA

      77313 - Krug, Hill Giant
Yet again, some gorgeous shading on this figure.

      77314 - Golan, Hill Giant
This figure is very... uh, purple.  But I think it works well.  I might have to go over it and tidy up some of the tree branch club - the paint coverage isn't as good as it could be.  But still a lovely bit of work.

      89013 - Ezren, Iconic Wizard
She has this annoying tendancy to rattle off freehand that's better than my "paint by numbers" detail work, elf her eyes!  This one was a fairly fast paint, with not as much shading as she's done elsewhere.

      89014 - Seltyiel, Iconic Magus
She refers to this one as her "Michael Jackson" figure, for obvious reasons : )

This little fella came out alright I think. My first successful attempt at painting human eyes at this scale.

My third attempt at miniature painting.
I'm pretty pleased with how it came out, though it's more green than I had originally intended and I struggled to get the large metal surfaces to take more paint after the first coat.
