I have stuff that was cast from recycled musket balls...  ::P:

(I dug up some Asgard and Archive stuff out of the depths of the Citadel for this round.)

I'll have a fair pile of ancient lead in my box, too, balanced with Bones and some newer Kickstarters that don't seem likely to be painted.

Just as a quick reminder to everyone, if you're putting lead figures into the box, please ensure that they're labeled as such.

Aye aye; it shall be done.

What's the general opinion on non-complete (like the afore-mentioned handless wonder) or conversion parts in the box?

I have no problem with there being a small percentage of "conversion fodder" or bitz.  But I'd hope no one thought it was a good idea to take out a bunch of perfectly good figures and dump in a pile of nothing but broken stuff.

Maybe if the "conversion bits" were in a separate labeled baggie, and the box limited to whatever can fit in that, the way some other things are limited.

(I should have been clear about my handless mini earlier.  I have her hand; it's just going to be a pain to pin and glue.)

Another one of your off-handed remarks, I see.  ::D::B):

On a serious note, I think your baggie idea is a good one. (And preferably no bigger than a sandwich bag.)

Also, are we doing group paints this time?

I had thought I might poll my group once they're assigned to see if they wanted to do an optional one, but one must keep in mind this part of the rules:

Each participant will have 1 week from the arrival of the

box to make their swaps and then send the box on to the next person.

A week is plenty of time to go through the box, make selections, select items to put back in and send the box on its way, but may be too pressured of a time line if you add painting into it and we don't want to delay the boxes needlessly.

If it's just a few figures, and they're complete (all parts are present) that's fine. Otherwise, they should be considered 'bits'

That's up to each individual box starter; I plan on PM'ing everyone in my circuit to see if they want to do one or not.

Nobody needs to feel pressured to paint the group figure if they don't want to or feel they won't have time.  Besides, you don't need to spend more than a few minutes on it, paint a belt pouch, or the sword, or glue rocks onto the base. You're not responsible for the whole figure.

Quite the opposite, in fact. Save some fun for the rest of us! :B):

This is one of the figures I nabbed from the recent BoGW.  Our group is currently running Rise of the Runelords, so my husband the DM was very happy to gain another ogre.  It is hard to tell in the photos, but the nasty looking sword in back was done in folkart color shift green flash paint for a nasty looking magic weapon.

This is an old Mage Knight figure that I slightly converted and repainted. He was holding a comically undersized flail in his left hand, so I cut it off and replaced it with a halberd from an old GW Chaos Warrior I had in my bits box. After that, it was just a matter of repainting him for use on the tabletop. He'll make an interesting BBEG in some game I haven't created yet.

      Thanks for looking.

These are 3 little imps/demons that I pulled off the melt table at Reapercon last year. I'm not sure of manufacturer, so if you recognize them, please let me know. I think they may be from a 15mm figure range.

I bashed these guys out over he course of a couple evenings about a week ago. Thanks for looking.
