Haha! Luck is when one eye is good and the other turns out ok. Both of his eyes match so I'd say you're doing something right! Plus, they look realistic and ANGRY and seriously brought life into his face. He has an expression and I wouldn't want him looking at me!

Great colours on this guy - doing the whole top of the head in bone was a good call and well done on the eyes, they pop really well.

The eyes you painted look great. They add a lot of life to him.

For what it's worth, I also like your "bony crown" paint choice for the head.

Your choice of blues is excellent. I'm really liking this guy as a blue dragon.

Violets are Red

Dragons are blue

I'm going to run now

And so should you

Nice blue!

Are you going to keep the wings plain blue or will there be spots ?

I'm thinking black or walnut brown spots might look awesome on the membranes.

There will be spots I was going to use darker blues and the purple and yellow I used on the scales

Ok some wing experimentation.  I am not sure if this will need a wash over the membrane or blend the patches in or both. Early days on this part so any input is appriciated

I like it. The pattern reverse matches the lighter color of the scales. It's such a great idea. A wash should work well to soften the contrast while still keeping the look of a distinct pattern. I probably wouldn't put the pattern over all of the wing's fleshy parts. Looks cool with them concentrated close to the main wing bones. It definitely adds visual interest.

Like painting tattoos, go over it with a glaze of the midtone.

So a blueish glaze ( watery thin) let dry and repeat till you got the desired "depth"
