Great paint job, I like how the leather came out. What did you use for the rock on the base, is it a natural rock?

Thanks, its a bark, great resource for rock making:)

Nice job!  It's actually from a Zombicide Black Plague guest artist box (by Paolo Parente).

Awww, he looks so sad.  Like, when he's not busy being a merciless killing machine, he's secretly looking after a little, mewing kitten that adopted him one rainy day. . . .

Great paint job and basing!

What a WONDERFULLY expressive face! It finishes off your LOVELY brushwork & basing in an OUTSTANDING fashion. VERY WELL DONE!

I followed you link to the rest of the crew. They are a SPLENDID gang of Hooligans. The Troll will fit right in with that collection of characters.

This is the lovely miniature I received from Pineapple for the Summer exchange.   It is a bit late but Pineapple had to start over when parts off the first mini were pilfered and lost.  This is the second one and I must say the wait was well worth it!

The basing is well done with a scratch built stone wall to frame the Troll Champion.  The skin tones, although unexpected is just perfect for the mini and the touch of Orange I usually request appear in the hair/horns and finger/toe nails!  The combination is perfect!

Without further preamble here are what you all want to see... The Pictures!

I am adding this to my display cabinet as I post this!

      Thanks Pineapple

Painted this troll for an upcoming adventure.  The party will be fighting a bunch of trolls in a swamp, and while I loved this Ice Troll fig, traditional blues and whites for an ice troll wouldn't fit the game.  I modeled the colors after leopard frogs, as I've always loved the greens and browns together for a swampy atmosphere.  If I had to do it over again, I would probably make the brown spots on his arms and legs a little bigger and more prominent, as they turned into my favorite part.  I'll need a lot more trolls for this battle, so I'll most likely model the painting after this one.  Comments and advice are welcome as always. Thank you!

I'm painting up this troll, and a buddy suggested a leonine paint scheme, since the tail looks a bit lionish. I was thinking that I might try sculpting some hair on him as a mane. However, I've done very little sculpting, so I was wondering if any one has a good guide on the subject. I'm particularly looking for long scraggly, fur-like hair.

I've only been at this a little over a month and am totally addicted! Went for the glowing eyes here and botched it -- Don't know how you expert painters paint son damn small!
