Question for July 6th:

Do you know enough about bbcode and the posting editor to manually format a question like this?

Without looking it up?  No.  Bolding characters, I knew, but not setting the font size.  So I looked it up and now I know (or, at least, I know where to look should I ever need to use it).

But, more importantly, I found the preview button!  This makes me feel better.  (I'm used to preview being an obvious button.)

May I ask where it is please?

It is hiding in the button bar. It looks like a kid drawing of an Army Tank with a round turret.

2nd counting back from the right.

(I didn't know where it was either...)

Erm. I might? It's been a really long time since I've had to code anything so it would greatly depend on if my memory worked with me or not.

Thankfully, enough people answered that I was able to figure out what exactly you were talking about.

So, I guess not.

This. And no. I use the buttons and can mess even that up regularly.

I know how to make text BOLD, but I don't know the ins and outs of the "size" tag. I'm sure I could figure it out. (and, by "figure it out", I mean use the graphical interface to make some big text, and then switch over to code view to see what it did.)

Had some time while I had another process running, figured it out.

Syntax for size appears to be this, where brackets replace the parens:
(size 5) text (/size)

bold

size 5

size 5 bold combined

Yep. Got it.

So this would be the format string:
(b)(size 5)question goes here(/size)(/b)

It is a funny old place.

Most of my paper documents have a top right corner that is square... instead of beveled.

Tanks with beveled corners are a bit tricky to find, too. ::D: (I think the beveled corner is intended to indicate the flexibility of paper, so it's a pretty standard icon. But don't get me started on how useful icons are.)

Interestingly, I'm on one of my studio computers now and seeing a completely different set of icons than the one I see at my desk computer. I wonder where I could change that?)

I do good just poking my phone and occasionally making messages appear.

BB Code yes.  The new posting editor is a bit different, so that makes it a bit more difficult, as I used to switch to the bbcode editor version in the old version of the forums.  That's okay, because I can still do the code, it's just done directly now.  I can also do it in HTML if I need to do so.

Not beveled, dog-eared.
