My last 3d sculpt :)

OUTSTANDING! That is a WONDERFULLY  horrifying creation/creature. It is an highly imaginative take on the standard Mimic...the hand/claw thingy is something new to the species & I love the tongue.

You did a TERRIFIC base as well. VERY WELL DONE indeed!

The teeth and mouth are fantastic..  I also really like the pebbled armor.  Over all the pose and form are great.

I have a couple of critiques for you too:

1. The eye balls on the stalks are too ball like.  They look like they were just stuck on.  Would be better if you could blend the ball and stalk of each together making it look like they are one.

2. The plates on the top of the head don't look very organic.  They actually look copy-pasted.  Would be good if you could add some fine details/changes to each to make them look more natural.

Well done!

Hi !

My new sculpt.

It's not a really impressive encounter, but i love classic undead :).

I sculpt all bones separately. It's perfect for posing the miniature. It's a good exercise.

Great sculpt.

About skeletons, though...

You never really see what killed the person or animal that has been reanimated.

I'm not thinking of swords entangled in the ribcage or axe stuck in the skull, but broken bones, a caved inn skull, crossbow bolt stuck in the back of the pelvis.

(because yeah, who doesn't want to shoot someone there... with a crossbow.. )

Your pattern work is superb!

Do you UV and then use alphas for that?

For the skeleton... no.

For the beholder, i use personnal alpha for skin :)
