Hand deliver.

Heh - the next strip pretty much explains what happens with most possibilities....

Is it a bad sign that this strip put a smile on my face?

I might have linked Derek Lowe's invaluable In The Pipeline blog's "Things I won't work with" category before (but just in case http://blogs.sciencemag.org/pipeline/archives/category/things-i-wont-work-with). At any rate, he has a couple of posts on ClF3:

(Make sure you read the comments sections.)

Which isn't exactly a comic strip, but can be among the most darkly funny content on the internet.

My previous roommate worked at a chip manufacturing plant - and had to work with ClF3 - they handle it in a sane and competent manner.

But at his previous job (also at a chip manufacturer) they had a near miss involving a container of the stuff.

Not a huge surprise that the previous company is gone - it was bought up by a competitor and closed. (Said competitor was actually planning on using their acquisition - only to find that all the equipment was three generations behind. They were not happy.)

I had not read Things I Won't Work With in years - heard of it from the above mentioned former roommate.

I look in on Penny Arcade from time to time.

They make me feel old. Often, they are making jokes about video games I do not play, and about which I know very little, if anything. And I don't get the jokes. And I feel old and uninformed.

But every so often, they're so on target, it's amazing.
