Really nice! I love your color scheme. The pop of color with the blonde hair is great.

you may be a second time poster but not a first time painter with those smooth blends and excellent color choices

This is excellent and I sincerely hope there will be a lot more!

Maybe even a WIP to share your methods with us!

Saw this of Facebook and I have to say that I love the hue that the hair has, and it matches the shade of blue beautifully.

And welcome to the forums as an official member! I hope you enjoy crazy; it's all we got here.::P::lol:

Thank you for your kindness. :)

I am not a beginner to painting but I am a beginner to Reaper Miniatures. I am actually inspired by many of the painters here who are creating amazing works while pushing their abilities as painters. Plus you have such amazing talent behind the curtain that even I have been inspired to elevate my own practices.

I would enjoy sharing more with you all as this Forum has a great Community within it. If there is something you would like to see, please let me know. I hope to be an asset to this group.

I am currently working on the Frost Giant King and post WIPs on the Reaper Facebook page and at 1HourANight. (Also on Facebook.) If it is okay to cross-post I will post my work here. I am still getting used to the rules so let me know if I stray.

Thank you again for your warm welcome. :)

Gratitude! I am working on Color Theory and found an App called Color Wheel that assists in color choice. I recommend it!

Gratitude! I strove for the hair and Amber jewels to frame face and bust to draw attention to where I want the viewer to look. I was looking at Derek Schubert's work in the Inspiration Gallery and work to get better myself.

I have been reading quite a bit before I got the courage to make myself known. I think you all are just the right amount of crazy and kind.

It is like a large family. :D

Gratitude! I appreciate your C&C.

The face is what I strive to bring focus too: it is the first place a viewer looks. The sculpt is epic and allowed me opportunity to really focus on her eyes and face.

With smooth skin she has an illusion of youth, where I could make her appear older if I accented eye mouth creases.

She reminded me of the Titans from WoW.

Great eyes.

Gratitude. That is one of the most difficult parts of Miniature Painting. I appreciate your insight. (I even researched how to do eye shadow.)

These are beautiful, excellent work! When I get around to painting up my cloud giant I now plan on attempting to borrow your skin tones. What paints did you use?

I had a really good time with this kit, and I feel like I learned a lot from it, too.  Win-win!

This is probably my best paint job to date, and it was pretty cool to see those highlights and shades build up layer by layer.  Similar to the skeleton in the first kit, this one was quite fun to work on despite being a fairly simple model.

If the wizard was the best paint job, this one was the most fun.  Sadly, something about the posture just confounded me when it came to trying to take good pictures of it.  Also, those lips

I was a bit sloppy with this one, probably because I wanted to just finish with the kits and get on to doing my own minis again.  Nevertheless, it was a neat challenge to try doing so many layers of colors for this one, and if nothing else, that left eye is probably the best eye I've painted (right one's a bit of a mess ).

On the whole, I'm very grateful for all of the people who suggested getting the LTP kits.  Definitely a great couple of learning tools.  Many thanks!

Another set complete!  This time it's a group of Eastern Fantasy themed adventurers and encounters.  Almost all the minis are from the third Bones Kickstarter, with the exception of the Tengu/Kenku Monk armed with kamas.  She's from Stonehaven.

      The group:

      The Oni:

The Kitsune.  The male is one of my favorites...I hadn't even noticed the sake glass in his hand  until I started painting!  That and his swagger make for a very characterful sculpt.

      Just some Human Monks:

      The Kenku/Tengu:

This is the non-Reaper one, a Monk from Stonehaven Miniatures:

@Everyone :: Please feel free to share pix of creations from the Conversion Classes in this thread.

      I will **start:

As a beginning exercise Gene Bobby and Jason had everyone pick a body, add one thing, and pass it to the right. That was repeated three times. These were the result.

**Be warned I have moar pix...

Wow I feel really outclassed here but I've gotta start somewhere...
Painted these for a friend's birthday, it was several months past his birthday when I finished, lol. Unfortunately before I could properly finish he had to move so I had to rush and couldn't do as much as I'd like. A lot of bases remained unpainted, and some touch ups on some of the skintones that I was planning on doing after had to be left as they were.
Not sure how many I can fit before it starts flagging me as spam so I'm just gonna show a photo of all of them, and then some of the monsters. They're the ones I'm most satisfied with.

Blood Rage Base Game all painted minis

      Fire Giant

      Ice Giant
      Troll

Idk if this is a KS model or one I randomly bought to fill out our need for giant monsters that are not cardboard cutouts. Anyway, he's done. He was going to maybe go in a desert diorama but I decided against (he didn't end up fitting). I might go back over his claw bits again tho, they seem a lot darker in the pic than they do IRL but theyr'e still just not quite right. Anyway, he's based on a couple of RL pics, mostly going for a shiny red carapace kind of idea. He's not in my WIP thread, so just a quick note, I undercoated him mournfang brown (a red brown GW colour) and then built up to the red with reaper's bloodstain red and later clotted red (my absolutely fave triad *ever*)
