My results form World Wide Miniatures day.  Figure 1 of 3.

This is actually the first GW model that I have painted.  Not really sure how the colors relate to the standard color scheme, but I think this worked pretty well.

Comments and Critiques welcome.

Cool!

In GW terms this would be a Night Goblin.

When I acquired the model, it didn't have any of its retail packaging.  I knew it was GW, but my Googleing to figure out what it was came up with both Grott and Night Goblin references.  I was confused.

Was there a terminology change somewhere along the way?

Grott is the new thing. Night goblin is the old.

GW blew up their world so they could rename everything stupidly and have strong claims to IP.

Got it.  This model was actually cast in metal, so that makes it a bit on the older side and probably originally marketed as a Night Goblin.

In GW Terms Grot is a Goblin in the 40K Universe, Goblin is for Fantasy.

Night Goblins are a special tribe.

I stopped following their fluff when they released AOS.

The old stuff was more to my liking.

This was painted as my gift to @Talae for the Summer Exchange 2017.  The criteria of interest was steampunk or water, with a demonstration of NMM.  The Automaton fit the NMM criteria well, and is mostly steampunk, so I ran with in.

The orange parts are supposed to be copper.   This is the first time I've tried a NMM copper and used a Scale75 NMM set.  Thoughts?

Figure 3 of 3 from World Wide Miniatures Day 2017

I started this one back in 2016 just before ReaperCon.  When I say started, it was mostly just a base coat.  So I blew the dust off and finished it up.

Had fun with the shield on this guy.  Wasn't really sure where I was going when I started.  Pretty happy with the results.

Working on something new, presenting Brokk Grungsson, Lord-Magnate of Barak-Nar, The Paragon of Prosperity from the City of the First Sunrise. He's a Dwarf Sky-Pirate who comes in lots of pieces:-

      Lots and lots of pieces.
Normally, I'd build various sub-assemblies for ease of painting before final assembly. But with the way the flying harness is built around Brokk it's looking like I might have to paint the individual pieces as he goes together.

This is as much as I dare assemble for now. Most of Brokk and the legs and shoulders of his harness.

      And then the painting began.
Going against the official scheme (as usual) I've gone for red armour (Scarlett Red > Brownshade Wash > Blood Red > 1:1 Blood Red/Orange Red).

      Presenting Belisarius Cawl, a millenniums-old, cyborg super-scientist.

He's part of Games Workshops Triumvirate of the Imperium figure set, and I've been doing a WIP thread for him here.

Now I've got him all assembled he is a little too busy detail-wise (he could certainly do with losing at least one set of arms), but he was a lot of fun to paint up and put together and that's the important thing.

As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
