Day 2 Infobit summary part 1 (emphasis added is mine):

Quote

@mgblz92 - none of the previous 3 projects had even remotely identical funding "curves" when plotted on a graph to each other. Direct comparison is nigh impossible For instance, Bones 1, which funded the highest, only reached $30,000 a the end of the first 24 hours. Bones 2, on the other hand, reached a million in 24 hours, and bones 3 hit $700,000 in 24 hours.

Quote

is Enos Kline doing any sculpting for you this time around?

-

@GK - I'm not currently aware of any sculpts by him, but I would not say that there won't be any by the end.

Quote

Why are two handers rare? Are they harder to cast?

-

@Zombie Painter - Not really harder, although they do require a little more planning and preparation.

Quote

Should we assume that this will complete the Chronoscope expansion or will there be a part 3. There is no teaser on the image..

-

@M. Stegenga - we reserve the right to expand it further, but are not revealing any plans to do so.

Quote

@Shannow777 - it's perfectly ok to add items before unlock. Remember, the initial goals was 30,000. If nobody would pledge until THAT had been unlocked, nothing COULD be unlocked. Pledging for "locked" goals is encouraged.

Quote

Yes, ALL Backers will Pay shipping, and ALL backer MUST use the pledge manager. Kickstarter does NOT collect your shipping address, and they do not give it to us, so you MUST use the PM to give it to us. Additionally, you MUST use the PM to tell us which rewards, among the many, you are interested in receiving.

Quote

@K. Jones - we have changed policies from lessons learned across multiple projects. all of the information you need to know will be on the project page, and should anything change, we will make changes to the project page (if it happens while the project is live) or via update, if it happens after September 2.

Be aware if you are in the EU that the Brexit laws have literally not been written, so we are unable to predict what those laws might demand of us in terms of changes. We have done our best to implement a plan that is flexible enough to accommodate reasonable changes invisibly from your perspective, but much remains unknown.

Quote

@Anonymous- We will packages all of your orders into as few packages as possible. We cannot guarantee t this time that any rewards will or will not fit into flat rate, but our calculator does not assume such.

Pledges made under different PM accounts are separated, as we do not have any way to recognize that

Day 2 Infobits summary part 2:

Quote

@Cat - only 30% of backers have used the PM to enter their rewards, so currently, yes, the two systems do not line up well. However, extrapolating from that subset, we can see which rewards are going over well.

Quote

does the miniatures come with a base as shown on the pictures?

-

@Simon - the miniatures will come with bases, but some models bases may not match the mock-ups precisely.

Quote

Ok so who at Reaper is a pug fanatic?

-

@David Douglas - Jason Wiebe, the sculptor of those rewards. He has several pugs in his family.

Quote

The dragonman. I have to ask...is it too late to do a wingless version...

-

@Bane - he's sculpted with the wing sockets. We're not changing that at this point in the project.

Quote

Any chance of making the previous Bones Core Sets available as add-ons?

-

@Paint Monk - That is not planned, and would seriously undermine our retailers and hurt future sales. Our lifeblood is your store, and we cannot afford that kind of action.

Quote

@Reaper is there a chance we can have all multi part bones not pre assembled?

-

@Cat we assemble anything that's reasonable for us to do so, because pre-assembled minis sell, on average, 3x better than models that require assembly.

Quote

@Josue Morales - typical averages per backer by the end of the project are in the neighborhood of $200. Right now that is a difficult number to support, but we have lots more reveals and goals coming up across the next 4 weeks.

Quote

@Bane - Ron, our art director, has the keys to the previews. I am only Public Relations (for the purposes of this discussion, my actual job is much more confusing).

Quote

Speaking of pies, will there be a pizza in the face if we top 3.14 mil?

-

You know what, Granite, I'll take TWO pies to the face at 3.14 million if y'all like the idea. That was actually really really fun.

Quote

Is there any chance of getting some of the reaper bones miniatures from past kickstarters?

-

@Cole Chambers - that is not something we normally offer, and have no plans to offer this time

Quote

Okay - the High Rollers - big D6 (not pyp). I don't get his name. All the rest are fairly obvious, but Aleon?

-

@Pinkymadigan - Alea is Latin for "die" (the singular of dice, not 'death')

Pips are the dots on a 6 sided die.

Day 2 Infobits Summary part 3:

Quote

can I pledge the shipping later on? like 2 months after the campaign is over?

-

@Ofek - yes, but remember that if shipping is unpaid by the time we close the PM, we will not ship your rewards.

@Michael Dutcher - you can do either, add shipping now or later. If you do so now, you are less likely to forget.

Quote

Is the two-headed troll hurling a pig for real?!!

-

@Herbert - yes, that's for real. We were going to reveal the optional pig on a slow day.

-

a sneak peek at the battering ham is here:

http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php…

Quote

I personally would like to see a core set without goblins and kobold.

-

@Chris Spitz - be aware that we're not making a version of the Core without these items, and we're not removing any future goblin/kobold plans from the set.

Negative votes fall entirely on deaf ears

Quote

I can tell you that I literally just heard Ron in the last 10 minutes give an art order to a sculptor for at least one idea from fan suggestions. And several other fan suggestions are already on the slate.

-

@Dan It's multiple things - a set of 3, in fact.

Quote

Here is a question, in the core set the dragon, is it a specific color or is that up for interpretation?

-

@Chris Spitz Gauth has been depicted as both a Red and a Blue in official artwork.

Quote

Any chance of seeing minis of Mr Bones' adventuring party?

-

@Ian Mulcahey - It's a pretty good bet for a later reveal

Quote

will the minis come with bases like the ones in Reaper bones 3 Kickstarter?

-

@Jardanes - we have not announced bases as a part of this project. It is a reasonable assumption that at some point they might make an appearance.

Quote

@granite - anything we see over and over by a variety of people has more weight than something repeated only by the same person. What lights your gestalt imagination aflame, that's what we want.

-

Mad Doctor, you can confirm that their requests are not always in vain. You saw firsthand fan ideas come to life and become popular goals

Day 2 Infobits Summary part 4 (last one for day 2):

Quote

Don't forget the dinowomen :)

-

@Kristopher, they're not mammalian, so their sexual dimorphism is more subtle, and likely related to coloration and not visible characteristics

Quote

does reaper start to gauge trends near the end of the campaign and shorten or lengthen dollar amounts needed to reach all planned stretch goals or are the stretch goal dollar targets not altered after the campaign has started?

-

@Rattasak - we evaluate the project daily and adjust goals and rewards as needed

Quote

@Ant - we haven't looked at the spreadsheet. It's a fan project to keep suggestions tallied and tracked.

Quote

What are the 'Brain-head' looking things in the chronoscope expansion set? (There are three of them in row 3)

-

@Therea Young, Master aliens. similar in many ways to both the aliens in the classic Trek Episode The Cage/Menagerie, or mars attacks aliens

Quote

How much of a difference does the pledge wave make?

-

@Carl Black - about a day and a bit, in terms of real shipping

Quote

So what are the bases for the chronoscope minis going to look like?

-

@Ant - probably similar to our existing Bones Chronoscope bases - discs, with tech or rock patterns. We have to have new bases sculpted specifically for them

Quote

So are the 24 bonus goblins the same designs as the 6 goblins in the Bones 3 Core Set?

-

@Ben - yes

Quote

@Sam burnett - for most of (n)ext 30 days, one goal a day will be the norm, not 12+. this is normal and expected

End of Day 2.

Hi guys, I've noticed something in the FAQ regarding the sizes.

It mentions Sir Forscale being "Human Sized". This can lead to confusion for those unfamiliar with our good knight or 28mm scale minis in general. It would be useful to get his true dimensions (in inches and mm) in the FAQ. From bottom of base to tip of sword and/or top of helm.

New to Kickstarter and need a little clarification about how my pledge works.

Once I've chosen items in the Pledge Manager equal to the amount I pledge during the KS can I then come back later and add more items (that I have to pay for immediately) that exceed the amount of my initial pledge?

As an example, I only pledge enough for 1x Core Set during the KS campaign and I choose 1x Core Set in the Pledge Manager at the close of the KS. Can I come back in March of 2018 and add another Core Set for the immediate cost of $100 (+ shipping)?

If I add items in the Pledge Manager after the KS closes will they cost the same amount that they did during the KS?

How dumb was I miss out on the first 3 Bones kickstarters? [Answer: very].

:)

Thanks!

Yes. The PM will not be able to accept additional funds for the first few weeks, while we collect your pledge data to give you credit for you pledge correctly, but in general, this is accurate.

Yes, as long as you have a pledge, even if you'vee spent it all, all rewards you select will be at KS backer prices.

18,000 backers got to our first project, out of 8,000,000,000 people on the planet. You are hardly alone, nor are you dumb for such an omission.

I suspect you are on the Kickstarter page.  There are only two pledge levels there (many waves, three zones, only two price points).

You select your level and then adjust your dollar amount a needed to cover the items you are interested in, including shipping.

In the pledge manager is where you will make those item selections.  That is a calculating tool at present but will be switched over post project for you to make those individual selections.

      About this project
Welcome to our next Kickstarter project.

      About this project
HEX is a new kind of dice that merges the best of magic and minimal design to create an all new gaming experience!
      The Ultimate in Minimalist Design
Each HEX die is machined from two standard 16mm dice blanks. The finished die is placed in an acetone environment to smooth out any ridges or imperfections (note: the prototype is not final and has a visible seam, the real deal will look great, I promise!)
      Features
      21 LED's 16mm Standard Dice Size Ultra-low-power Accelerometer (MMA8491Q) Ultra-low-power Microcontroller (MSP430G2101) 2 LR44 Batteries Leave it to Chance!
Get skill and psychology out of the way -- there's no way to tell which side is which in HEX mode until the roll is over!
      Two LED Modes
HEX mode - the die remains blank until the roll has been made, then the result fades into view. Right now I have the opposing side light up too, should that be in the production version?
Full Color mode - all LEDs activate when the die is shaken and remain on for about 10s after the roll
      LED Color Options
Based on feedback I am introducing color options! You'll now be able to opt for single color LEDs (all green, all orange, or all red) if you're not too keen on the standard multicolor configuration. You'll be able to choose the desired quantity of each type if you order multiple dice!
      Long lasting performance
The microcontroller, accelerometer, and battery chemistry were selected for ultra low standby current consumption and will easily last a year of casual gaming and a shelf life of several years. However, avid users may need to replace the batteries every few months due to high LED light use. (Note: the dice may be opened with heat to soften the glue)
      Moving Forward
Although the current prototype is good, there are some adjustments that I would still like to make before production.
Keeping the lights in well-defined circles so they don't bleed across the surface of the dice. I plan to accomplish this by using reverse mount LEDs that would shine through holes in the circuit board Optimizing the program logic to ensure glitch-free operation Potentially having the shell of the dice injection molded instead of milled from off-the-shelf dice blanks (this might also allow for a snap fit enclosure for easier battery servicing) Of course, I look forward to incorporating feedback from you all as well!

      About this project
It's not easy running a team in a violent Fantasy Football league. There's riots when you win, riots when you lose and I'm just talking about the coin-toss. To help you out on match day, we've assembled some of the finest staff in the Old Kingdoms:

Please note that the finished figures will be cast in white metal with trace amounts of lead and as such are not suitable for children. The miniatures will also be supplied unpainted, unless the highest amount is pledged.
Hopefully this project will be a starting point for a whole new range of accessory figures and maybe even teams but we can't do it without your support. It's a bit soon to start talking about stretch goals but we do have a few ideas up our sleeves that we will hopefully get a chance to present to our wonderful backers!
Shipping is not included in pledge price, however all postage + packing costs do include insurance for lost parcels.

      About this project
Check the comments on this project for sneak peeks, Darklands lore, hints, tactics, painting advice and general insanity! The community that builds during these Kickstarter projects is amazing, and even if you just read the comments, you'll gain so much more from Darklands: Starter Hosts!
Backing Darklands: Savage Hordes IV is a great opportunity to get into the dark fantasy world of Darklands for the first time, to expand your existing Darklands collection or maybe just to grab some fantastic miniatures to paint.
Warriors of Cantwaraburg, Jutgār Unit We'll give you the option to purchase everything in resin, too, if you're more of a painter than a gamer!
Darklands is a tabletop skirmish wargame in which YOU command the hosts of man and beast that your ancestors once did for glory, power or simple survival.
You can play Darklands with all of our amazing miniatures, including our incredible monsters and anything produced by this project, in a wargame designed specifically for them in a setting that you already know a lot about... for the lands of darkness, the "dark lands" as we call them, are in fact the north and west of Europe and of course the sunken lands still remembered, yet no longer seen, from ancient times.

Intrigued? Download the Darklands: First Edition Quick Play Guide to learn how to play very quickly, and have a good look at the Lands of Darkness Kindred Guide to give you an insight into the lore behind the game.

Additionally, have a look at the bottom of this project's page for more information on Darklands the wargame!
New to Darklands? Choose your infantry host, and get the "STARTER BUNDLE" reward!

It's the easiest way to get playing!
To keep things as simple as possible, this project’s rewards are based around the concept of a Starter Host. All Starter Hosts contain a small Darklands host of around 499 gold - so Encounter Host size - where possible, and you can add the Darklands: First Edition rule book, order tokens and D10 dice to your pledge to ensure you have everything you need to get started!
As well as the hosts listed in the stretch goals, you can purchase any of the Infantry Starter Hosts in metal or resin from the graphic below - either as single purchases or as part of the "FIVE INFANTRY HOSTS" reward.
Each Infantry Starter Host almost always contains:
1x Commander 1x Infantry unit of 10x miniatures, including champion, banner bearer and herald where appropriate 1x Monstrous Infantry unit of 5x warriors (50mm) or 3x warriors (60mm) Note that 60mm monstrous infantry units (such as the Srónax) can only be produced in resin regardless of whether your purchase is for a metal host or a resin host.

ADD NEW WARRIORS OF BAALOR / SLEANAGH / WIHTSWEORDS ETC.

Most of these Infantry Starter Hosts are already released to the public; new ones will be released to the public in similar format either later on this year or early next.
Support Starter Hosts are exactly the same as Infantry Hosts in terms of costs, and always contain:
1x Support Commander 1x Support Unit of 10x miniatures, including champion 1x Monstrous Support Unit of 3x warriors, including champion  Note that 60mm or 80mm monstrous infantry units (such as the Bholg of Acaill) can only be produced in resin regardless of whether your purchase is for a metal host or a resin host.

Some of these Support Starter Hosts are already released to the public; new ones will be released to the public in similar format either later on this year or early next.
As well as the Infantry Starter Hosts and Support Starter Hosts we have a number of Monstrous Infantry Starter Hosts, based around the same principle of 499 gold or Encounter Host size, where possible.
Each Monstrous Infantry Starter Host almost always contains:
1x Monstrous Commander 1x Monstrous Infantry unit of 5x miniatures, including champion, banner bearer and herald where appropriate 1x Monstrous Beast Note that 60mm monstrous infantry hosts and all of the monstrous beasts will only be produced in resin regardless of whether your purchase is for a metal host or a resin host.

Most of these Monstrous Infantry Starter Hosts are already released to the public; new ones will be released to the public in similar format either later on this year or early next.
We're also introducing a new type of host this time around - the Monstrous Beast Starter Host, which will bring some excellent punch to your hosts! These are based around units of 3x 80mm monstrous beast units, such as the Felljötunn Host.
Monstrous Beast Starter Hosts can only be produced in resin. Each of these Monstrous Infantry Starter Hosts will be released to the public in similar format either later on this year or early next.
