You're welcome!

Don't forget to warm the waffles over a cup of hot beverage ( coffee, tea or cocoa) that way they taste the best.

On another note, my order from Poland arrived. ( Elysabetha from Karolrudykart)

I remembered to warm the Stroopwaffels.  I see that we will have a "cat" fight in the near future?  How do you think her voice compares to HER voice?  And which one is stronger in coaxing you to their side?  I will buy some popcorn for the event!

Today was my first chance to visit my FLGS during their Boxing Week sale. 25% off everything in store.

Picked up the Imperial Assault Hoth expansion, a 4Ground house, and a couple boxes of Doctor Who miniatures.

Was kind of excited to find these sitting on the shelf. I hadn't seen any of the Warlord Who stuff up here before.

Spent some time scouring the shelves hoping to find Daleks or Cybermen or anything else from the game but this was all they had left as I was a few days late to the sale.

Thanks a lot work.

Oh my!

I recall being quite excited to hear that new officially licensed Doctor Who minis were coming to market (especially since the BBC lawyers appear to have come down like the wrath of Games Workshop on all makers of unofficial ones, which have all vanished from the market) only to discover that they were not available outside the UK. :down:

How ever did you find them?  How are they?

To answer your first question they were simply sitting on a shelf next to some of Mantics miniatures at my local FLGS

They never had them before. I don't know how they got them. Perhaps the Warlord licence with the BBC allows for them to be distributed within Canada?

As for how are they...

My first thought on opening the package was "Oh. They're metal." followed by "Wow! They're really thin."

Here you can see Capaldi's Doctor box with Strax, Madam Vastra, The  Doctor, Clara, and Jenny Flint alongside some Reaper Bones minis I had handy.IMG_1073.thumb.JPG.b028945888200ad5a933cd7a74945ab4.JPG

They're well sculpted. Some mold lines as would be expected on most metal minis.IMG_1075.thumb.JPG.680d0a2aad6c2dbbad7e07b2ad115ca0.JPG

Some of the likenesses are spot on.IMG_1076.thumb.JPG.faf82d677b014a5bad79444078b1556f.JPG

The scale is close to Reapers, but the most noticeable difference is that the proportions on the Who characters are much more realistic. Smaller hands, feet, and facial features stand out the most.

Because of that they may not fit in with some miniature lines.

Picked up my second 12Days package from Reaper today.

There IS a stocking, and YES it's the coal!

That's 3x Sophie...

01406 Sophie, Succubus,

01409 2004 Christmas Sophie

01415 New Year's Sophie

There's 2x Winter Elf, and 2x 01611 Ametrine Earthlyte,

the older 02063 and 02719 Ametrine, 02459 Ava Female Templar.

I haven't really studied the Bonesy goodness, but there's a pair of Mouselings, so it counts as a win!

Ishouldprobably have taken better pictures and done a bit of cropping at least, but I seem to have also aquired a virus or something, so the Give an Elf meter is at negative right now.

I have received a small force of exquisite wood elves from the lamentably now-shuttered Thunderbolt Mountain.

As a freebie I was given the most beautiful 15mm cowboy I have ever seen. I must do something with him.

Got a 50-75mm scale mechanical spider for him to fight?

Acquired Frostgrave Into the Breeding Pits and Forgotten Pacts today. Was supposed to be a Christmas present for me but shipping was delayed for a long time because of a kids book the wife wanted. Took a quick glance through them and now want to convert figures for the new specialists. Wouldn't mind doing a beastmaster warband with gnolls and a babarian warband. Never bought any of those minis though and haven't finished my all girl warband (sigilist and Mordheim sisters) or enchanter warband yet. Don't play often and tend to use my necromancer who's got a wide variety of skeletons for soldiers.

My recently acquired Scientific Products S8220 Deluxe Mixer has been fully cleaned, inspected, oiled, and new rubber feet fabricated from some 1" rubber chair tips - fender washers - and #8 fine thread machine screws.

By serendipity the mixer stays put on carpet, which also quiets it down.  The serendipity is the chair tips are inverted so the open end is down, which makes for firm footing on the carpet.

I've also fabricated a 7 place holder so instead of doing one bottle at a time I can mix 7.  I made it from multiple layers of foam board laminated together with wood glue and a wrapping of masking tape around the outside edges just to neaten things up and give it a finished look.

It works great! ::D:

All my paints, with special emphasis on the boatload I acquired from lots found floating in the Bay of E are being given a 10 minute ride and then used to fill in the spot reserved for paint sample on the inventory sheets I have made from the graph paper style composition books.

Now I will know what paints I have, an approximate idea of how much of each [multiples are indicated where appropriate] and what the color actually looks like under different lighting conditions.

I estimate it's going to take me about a week to finish the project as, judging from the machinery smell, the mixer seems to have about a 20% duty cycle, which is typical for small motors.

Waiting for the big ReaperCon announcement that Reaper Bryan promised for this week.

Managed to drag myself out of bed and all the way to the postbox today...

(Yayy for the flu... single and sick is the worst combo ever)

Found a package from Miniature Mountain, which in addition to a couple of Sophies, contained 3 paints; 9008 Sun Yellow, 9670 Pumpkin Organge, and 9145 Moth Green...

(I've been tracking it on my phone, so I knew it would be arriving today.)

Since the day was ruined anyways(getting up while sick...) I dragged my way to the car, and hit the store/local post office.

Got my Polish package, which really did contain the Hot & Dangerous KS minis. Suddenly the day wasn't all that sucky), and picked up pain killer and cough syrup.

If ever there's a European shortage of packing peanuts, it's most likely Wargamers in Poland who caused it...

Minis were sanwiched between two pieces of foam in sturdy cardboard boxes(retail packaging with pretty cardboard outside), and these again were buried in filler in a much larger box. And to top it off, that box was wrapped in black plastic.

Got a little box in the mail, didn’t think to check it right away. Turns out, it was my Hasslefree order from a month ago, along with some exotic UK sweets and three free minis!

A happy surprise for an otherwise dour day.
