I'm surprised you don't have any Dwarves from the McDonalds clan.

The Bean Priests of Agamenthar are still pondering on McCafe and whether or not it follows the laws of Our Coffee God.

The magnets are awesome! I currently have Teddy Roosevelt and George Washington squaring off for a gentlemanly saber duel, Obama and Van Buren seeing who has the strongest Kung Fu, Lincoln going axe-crazy on Truman, Darth Reagan preparing to deflect a blast from Iron Trump, and Grant and Jackson perfectly countering each other Mortal Kombat style.

All I really care about in that pic are the poker chip magnets. :)

I just placed my first monthly order in support of Reaper's Dungeon Dwellers promo.  I filled in some more holes in my DHL collection which now gives me complete run of figs from #2000-3300, and earned two Rictus figs to start my DD collection.

During a trip earlier today up into the attic to lay some mousetraps, I reacquired both my original old-school printing of the Watchmen graphic novel, and my copy of the Origin (Wolverine's backstory) hardcover graphic novel....

I wasn't aware I still had either of them, as I hadn't seen them in decades. (I was pretty sure I'd either sold them or my house had eaten them.)

Was finally able to get my hands on a couple of the Citadel painting holders for your miniatures.

IMG_1132.thumb.JPG.334de9ba0a5be3caaf50d4a2c85965ee.JPG

These are the first ever mini holders I've ever had but I have to say I'm impressed.

Thats a Bones mini on a 25mm round base one the right and a Black Scorpion all metal mini on a 40mm base on the left.

Both fit snuggly into the holder.

I was curious how securely they were held so shook the holder with the horse and rider gently and then a bit more forcefully while they were upside down and they remained secure.

I've no doubt that given enough force you could shake them off, but they are certainly secure enough that they can be held upside down while painting those difficult to reach spots.

Given that the horse and rider are both solid metal and so have a fair bit of weight, that's saying something.

The holder should work as well for square or rectangular bases of a similar size.

Because broccoli bases can be oddly shaped you'd have to test fit them. Minis with the tab under them won't work well with this holder.

And as the photo shows, the holder stands quite well when not being used.

I used a gift card from Christmas to get the latest Space Marine codex.  Apparently I think I still participate in this hobby.

Thanks for this post. I've been on the fence about these. Especially since I just backed another type of minis holder on KS recently.  But I can definitely see the use for this as I probably need new blutack and it's not easy to find around here.

Good catch on that silver dragon, they're hard to find up here.

Word of advice. Open it up to check for missing parts.

Mine had a missing leg that wasn't noticeable until I opened it.

Took it back to the store next day and they exchanged it. No problem.
