I got one of those flexible Gorillapod tripods that hold cell phone cameras.

I plan to use it for, among other things holding my phone on the swing arm lamp that moves over my drafting table so I can take better pictures of my work in progress, and maybe some video too because I am kind of thinking of making some instructional videos sort of thing, maybe ...

I think that's a great idea! I'd watch them.

It’s all very preliminary and slow and I’m still getting used to the apps and things. It’s probably going to start with simple, short things like how to wash brushes and simple color mixing and things like that.

I've thought about doing videos for the blog but I'd have to pay them to upgrade to upload them. I can however use gifs but haven't figured out how to make those.

I just figured Youtube channel. Possibly because eldest is already doing one, it seemed the logical choice.

One of these came in the mail today:

I'm planning to replace the XT60 connectors on my Ender 3, once the replacement connectors arrive. This is a soldering jig for them.

Also picked up some silly putty and flickering tea lights at the dollar store.

Isn't youtube free to use?  I sort of figured that was how they got to be so popular, but have no experience with it.

On the other hand, this proves nobody can resist the Dutch Stroopwafels.

Maybe, but the one's I've tried in America have been easy to resist.

I got a whole heap of these little boxes today;

I'm mostly going to store SMT electronic components in them.

I might eventually start up a channel but I have little to no experience with video editing. I would just like to be able to embed videos into my articles instead of having to link someone to Youtube.

I finally managed to make an order from Greenstuff World. I really failed my Will save on this one, but in my defence they had a 33% off sale ^_^

Ooooh, that reminds me, I need to order some more sculpting Vaseline.  I'm down to half of a tin.  Next time I'm ordering a few, since I have plans....  Nice haul of rollers!

You need the real thing and then warm them up over a cup of hot beverage to fully enjoy the taste.

There is a US based webshop who sells stroopwafels.

Go for the ones called Kanjers.

There's no size called 0802. There's 0805, though. I assume you mean that.

I have hand soldered down to 0603, but it's a royal pain in the elf to do so.

My resistors, LEDs and other simple components are all packaged in strips and set into 'sample books'(small ring binders ).

These will be used to hold assorted SMT ICs mostly.

For those who wonder, size codes are length+width in 0.1mm

So a 0805 component is 0.8mm long, 0.5mm wide.

0603 is 0.6 x 0.3mm

The smallest I own is 0402.

(Mostly pre-wired LEDs.  Because they're just too small to solder by hand.)

Is their sculpting vaseline any different from the normal stuff?

They almost always have something on sale.

I resemble that remark...  I really like the frozen, the bricks and the wood.
