I hear these are great aside from the toner sensor that'll screw you out of a lot of toner if you let it. I hear alternatively that there's a setting that'll allow it to keep printing past the cutoff and that you can tape over the sensor on the cartridge and thereby bypass it. If anyone has any experience with this I'd love also to aquire that. Thanks in advance.

That looks like the printer I now currently own. I haven't had much to print, so I can't say too much about this particular one. However, I bought it to replace an older Brother laser printer that I can speak at length about. It had the sensor, which would indeed screw you out of toner. However, taping over it wasn't enough as there was actually a ratcheting gear that acted as a page counter on the toner cartridge itself. And since it was a color laser printer, if you didn't switch the printer itself over to black and white mode it would tick all 4 toner cartridges up for each page that went through the machine, regardless of if those other colors were used or not. Which meant that when I printed out a copy of an ebook I bought, which was all black and white, it capped out my color toner cartridges and wouldn't print at all, not even in black and white mode when it was only the CMY cartridges that capped out, until I either replaced them(yea, right) or reset them. Resetting them was a pain in the butt because you had to partially disassemble the toner cartridge, take one of the gears out, then put it back in while rewinding a spring. Still easier than replacing them, because that would have been $300+, and the whole thing only cost me $450 when I bought it.

From what I remember reading about it at the time, Brother had a habit of putting page counters like that on all their toner cartridges. It prevented people from simply refilling the toner, because while a refill will make the sensor stop reading the cartridge as empty it will still read as a bad cartridge due to page count. I don't know if they still do that, though. Something to watch for.

Made me really mad when I tried to fire up the old printer earlier this year and found out that it was never going to work again. The laser mirror motor had seized, from what the error code said, and that's not the kind of fix I could do on my own. I loved having a color laser printer, even if I hadn't used it in 4 years. It was wonderful for printing out the PDFs of Paizo's books...

Y'know, I saw that same ship at the local Goodwill awhile back.

Given just how big it actually is, I might opt not to keep it.  I thought it would fit in one of the boxes (case of copy paper) I had set aside for terrain. It doesn't. If it was legal paper, but... *looks at 650 square foot apartment*

Is that the Playmobil pirate ship?

*Hurries to google*

Yep, Playmobil 5135 Pirate Ship.

That's a discontinued model, and in pretty decent shape.
