I like to head to the thrift store once in a while, sometimes it's a bust, sometimes I walk out with something fun:

1) A used copy of Heroscape's Marvel: The Conflict Begins, $5. It's missing one 7-hex tile, two 2-hex tiles, three 1-hex tiles, and all the cards except Silver Surfer and Venom. I just wanted the miniatures and the terrain, so I'm happy with that.

2) Silver Surfer Model Kit  $4. New in shrink.

3) For the nieces, Monster High: Create a Monster Starter Kit (Vampire and Sea Monster) $5.00 NiB

4) $1 DC beanies for a friend. Batman and Superman.

As promised pics of my souvenirs which will be used for the hobby.

Smaller pieces will be terrain or adorning plinths.

I will probably cut the big column in pieces to make two plinths and a terrain part.

Athena only cost 8,50 euro...

The large snake is made of albaster stone...The Nagendra Champion..( Sssllthr) is Snake for Scale.

Does this mean I won't be getting the Bones King Cobra?

Think again...The Queen needs her King, right?

Anyway a lot of nice stuff. The Cobra was 30 euro.. all the small pieces around 1,50 or 2 euro.

The Large column 10 euro..

Did I go overboard?

Also...booze, as you can see we already tried the coffee Liquer.

All flavours are a nice 21%...

My thoughts of Ouzo too. The closest thing I have to a happy memory about it is my brother catching his moustache on when drinking a flaming Sambuca. You're supposed to put the flames out before you drink it!

I don't have much memories of drinking Ouzo despite drinking it a few times...

You'll love the seam scraper... especially on harder plastics it is a dream.  Some bones not so much, others are ok... even metal is pretty good in a lot of situations... but man, good hard plastic it is like butter!

Jealous of the Vortex Mixer... still on my list... from all of the enablers here...

Well... if you guys aren't happy with the Seam Scraper from Amazon, the one so many of us Revere (yes... capital letter) is sold by the Mark-of-Micro and is called a Seam Scraper (Part # 80801).  It has three "blades" at the tip and none are sharp, so you can use your thumb to hold the angle easily (versus bloodily from doing the same thing with the back of an X-acto blade).  Very rarely do you need that much pressure though...

Here is the original thread dealing with this... though the pictures are largely gone now thanks to the Photobucket Massacre of 2017.
