I don't think I'm going to get anything done this month.  Just too much BS IRL.

That's a nice sentiment.  I appreciate the attempt at motivation, but it ain't gonna happen.

Finish el chupacabra before the PCs end up fighting it again. It had cover of darkness last time, I'm safe.

Finish some zombies before I need throw them at the PCs.

Finish these character minis (not needed for the game, I'm painting them for my own reasons)

Finish the book's BBEG before the PCs find the dungeon.

Begin acquiring computer parts.

Continue the never-ending task of clearing off my desk. I just moved here, where did all this junk come from?! It's not even mine!

So... The middle of the month is a great time to have goals, right?

Main goal:

ReaperCon diorama - getting the 4 humanoid figures painted, with OSL.

Secondary goal - paint the rest of the Bones animal companions for the Hangout Figure Of The Month.

I walked past my minis and painting table yesterday. Does that count as having done something? Haven't had time or energy the last week to fool with them. Before that I was going hard on my romans, basing whole units and doing a bit of painting. Tomorrow I won't be working but will be gone half the day. Might be able to do something. So current goal is do anything.

Actually made some real progress the last couple of days so figured it was worth a mini update. Chugging away on the romans still. New goals for September are.

Do shields and bases on 28 auxiliary spearmen. I'm using decals so it's relatively fast For basing I'm just dipping them in a mix of sand and flock.

Paint 8 legionaries and do shields and bases on 21.

Do everything on 8 cavalry.

Do everything on 6 camel riders.

Do everything on a prefect/general model.

Touch up a couple of officer/character models.

So close to finishing this army. It will be my first ever 100% complete army. Until I buy a couple more units I want but they're down on my list right now. I might even be able to finish off all the infantry today.

I "painted" 4 of the 5 invisible heroes. By that I mean I cut them from their broccoli bases, painted up some nicer bases, and glued them on.  4 more done!

Roman infantry finished except a coat of varnish/sealer. That's 149 minis down and 2 almost finished officer types to go. 42 of them were in the last month just from the primed stage. 15 cavalry finished and 12 cavalry, a pack camel and a mounted general left. They're nothing special when viewed up close but pretty impressive en mass. Feeling good about this. Hoping to finish the rest off soon but cavalry take a bit longer and I want to do a bit nicer job on the officers and general. I will be posting photos when they're done.
