Zink's Roman legion on the march (photo heavy)

These are 99% Warlord Games early imperial romans with a few from other places for characters. I'm 6 camel riders away from finishing the army but have plans to add 2 or 3 more units in the future. I use these with monsters for support in games of Armies of Arcana. Mostly they die brilliantly versus my goblins commanded by my oldest son. Not the best paint jobs on most of them and not the best photos but they still look good.

The whole army

An infantry officer and an optio (lieutenant). They seem to be having an argument over where to go.

The praetorian guards. Had thought of doing these in purple and buying decals but went with red and the decals that came in the box.

My goal for this year is to finish some armies that I've had forever. This is actually the last one I bought but was the easiest to paint so is first to finish. I'm working on goblins right now but also have a high elf army very close to finished. I have 7 good sized armies in various sages of painting.

I'm not normally an 'army guy', but I really like these.  Makes me want to re-watch HBO's Rome again!  Well done.

Which game system is this for?

I mostly play Armies of Arcana but they are based on 20mm bases so I can do other things like Warhammer Ancients. I have enough that I can change the units to suit whatever game. The movement trays are special conversion ones to give the minis a 25mm base that AoA uses without forcing people to rebase everything. I fell in love with AoA years ago when looking for a replacement for Warhammer. I was heavily involved in doing a new rulebook for it 8-9 years ago. I could go on for a long time talking about AoA if I let myself. Sadly due to one person causing trouble it's kind of a dead game now.

Wow! That is one might army! Having painted my battlore aries a few years back, I certainly know how tedious mass painting can be. Especially if you are striving for such great quality!

So, good luck next time you cross the Rubicon then.. And dont forget to say "Alae iacta est (the die is cast). ^_^
