Didn't have a super spooky October. Kind of sad about that.

Working on getting a bunch of minis and terrains together for a post-Halloween (hopefully November) CoC game.

Not Strange(r) Things 2, then? ;)

My November goals are roughly the same as October:

  • continue work on The Kraken diorama
  • finish Gorkanaut
  • finish 3 bonesylvanians
  • help my #2 son paint his Dark Eldar (by help, I mean literally just offer advice, try to give good encouragment as he's decided to paint them himself =D!)

For November, I'm dropping figure drawing class in order to focus more on...figure drawing. The instruction was weak and the school has been having trouble booking good models, so I'm going to sharpen up my skills at home with New Masters' Academy and Croquis Cafe.

I have a nice skull study up on the still life table, I want to do a grisaille in oils. Still working on the schematic for it, trying to get the angle right.

I wouldn't mind painting up the remaining KDM starting survivors, either...

For November the plan is:

  • Paint more things
  • Buy more things to paint on and with
  • Attempt basing something
  • Learn how to make strikethroughs on the forums
  • Probably curse my lack of abilities and cry or something at least once
  • Try not to be so shy
  • Rainbow Dragon Challenge! This will likely involve hitting up the LGS and asking if they have any of the challenge dragons in the back (they only have Narthraxes in the shelf)
  • Put off Rainbow Dragon Challenge due to Lack of Dragon and totally not out of fear
  • Attempt to Green Stuff a thing
  • Find a cheaper alternative to GS
  • Get some Simple Green before I forget again
  • Finish the NMM Learn to Paint Kit

I guess I’ll be a bit busy this month.

For me a carry over from October. I'll keep the list short to start with because it feels better to complete modest goals than fail at overextended goals. ::D:

6 roman camel riders + bones pack camel - slightly painted

15 goblins wolf riders - 4 done, 3 partials, 8 primed

Mausoleum and graveyard scenery - everything primed, mausoleum 30% painted. Didn't get it done for Halloween but might as well finish it now.

Add in 16 roman velites that I ordered but haven't received yet. They should paint up fast enough.

Tons of stuff on the back burner but this is a start.

Write a Novel.  (NaNoWriNo), which my elder spawn is also doing.

but I still intend to relax and paint a little.

Finish a few more Kingdom of Death figures:

Survivors  (2 done, 1 partial, 1 with basecoat, 1 primed)

White Lion (partially Done)

No more than 2 bones figures.

grr forgot winter exchange piece.. its only 3 figures and some sculpting, should be no problem ... right?

I have all the supplies (probably)

1. Finish a novel (NaNoWriMo). I'm considering handwriting it, which is a feat for me

2. Paint at least 2 of my pile of minis. I'm considering joining the Thanksgiving Paint Binge Challenge, but I'm a slow painter

3. 4 artist trading cards for a swap

I feel like I'm probably taking on too much, but that's kinda my thing :P
