I baked a Lemon Cake with frosting.

It is cooling down now, later it will be sacrificed to the Coffee Gods.

Greek dinner last night was fine!

We enjoyed it.

Fire reminds me of this...the man is still performing!!

@Unruly I'm glad you're not hurt. That crash looks awful ::(:

See, from my perspective, having the car unlock all the doors at once when you put it in park is a safety problem. But then, I usually drive at night and alone, so unlocking my car before I'm ready makes me paranoid. I always lock my car immediately after parking (or getting in).

They're also more difficult to crash, having their own on board steering. The downside is that sometimes their onboard steering goes bonkers and you end on the ground or out of control.

Other problems with horses, as seen from the perspective of a motorcyclist:

The steering can be wobbly.

The brakes don't always work.

Take longer to start than a kick-start Harley when you consider that before you can actually go-for-a-ride you have to dress the darn thing.

And finally - - - They leak constantly.

Oh, hey. The Punisher series is out.

I'm going to check this out. I've already seen all of Daredevil, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage.  Daredevil was definitely the best, and I love the way they have done the Punisher as a believable character.

Er... but not checking it out right now. I've already spent my morning catching up on web comics and Randomness, and now I need lunch. And, at some point I need to actually, maybe, do something useful. <sigh>

ETA - I'm caught up!  And, I'm a Rabble Rouser, now, which suits me.

I forgot to add I'm caught up.

My eldest granddaughter has a fee schedule as she is at the age where she knows that she wants to do things, such as school junkets and going to college, that cost Real Money.

Shall I have her send you her rate sheet?

I admire your daughter's entrepreneurial spirit. I was more looking for a slave though

Stranger Things season 2, here we go!

I don't know why anyone ever would like Steve. Dude reminds me of a real-life version of The Monarch from Venture Bros.

It'd be nice if monsoon season here would just chill...I got stuff I gotta do in the yard.

Wouldn’t this just result in a blizzard, making it even harder to work in the yard?

My mom and I were talking abut stuff like this yesterday. We've heard of people being stuck in their vehicles when there was a wiring failure and the power locks and windows wouldn't work. The older I get the more I like mechanical simplicity and dislike finicky electronics in things. Push button technology is ok when it works and if you're in a city. When you're an hour or more from the nearest garage and the stupid thinks go wonky it's an expensive pain.

That is what automatic center punches are for, best way to break out a window and spring loaded so you don't need a hammer. You just press against the window and the pin will push into the casing and then it will release the spring pressure and you have pieces of window everywhere.

Lemon cake for the coffee gods... good choice.

It's the hair.

For real though, he gets a lot more likeable in the second season.

Pesto?

This. It's a Green Eggs and Ham level of surprisingly good that I only learned about when in Rome. I didn't want something green on my pasta, really, but when in Rome ...

Exactly!

Going with red, including some mushrooms, onion, corn, pees, broccoli, and sausage. Black olive bread and cheddar cheese on the side.
