 Thanks for putting me right.

Nice ship and a nice job. I had the pleasure of visiting USS Iowa when I paid off in LA last month, very impressed with the quality of the guides, so you have a high standard to follow.

... But how did they fit those modern jets onto an "Essex" class carrier?

.....and the hits just keep on rolling!! Apparently, the 200d6 fireball to the face yesterday wasn’t enough. My boss just called me, the contact he gave me yesterday looked over my resume and is reluctant to interview me because I’m over  qualified, and they’re worried I’ll end up leaving the company for a better job.

It’s not funny anymore, Monday.<_<

Maybe ask what better job that would be so you can skip the middle man?

I wish it were that easy.

Overslept today, luckily didn't miss Dr's appointment. I'm home now and should probably make dinner soon, frozen pizzas tonight, haven't eaten today IIRC. Windows is updating and has been at 0% for about an hour now, but please "do not turn off your computer."

Might need a drink before the day is over.

The ship was modernized to be a CVA post war....

Another nickname for the ship I have heard of, due to the damage she took during WWII, was the "Evil I"....

Okay, I'm being affected by the move clock ahead factor.

I just saw the above Happy "Pi" Day comment, and sat here looking at it going

"???? Pi ?????  That's the Hebrew letter for "Het"... I don't get it....

Yeah, fog has set into brain already.

ROFL.. I hope no-one rings my phone, G-d only knows what language will pop out

of my head.. Le Sigh.

Probably the same way the got the Enterprise on deck: floating them around from the airport.

With a crane.

Essex was designed during the propeller driven era, much lighter, and much slower aircraft than the jet fighters that are now on display in/on this museum ship.
