It's from a fantastic tv series called The Neighbors. The neighbors being aliens. It had two hilarious seasons, and then like everything good on tv, got canned.

In preparation for the original Bones kickstarter, Reaper had planned for a 1/100 scale Bones Statue of Liberty mini.

However due to a miscommunication with the factory, production began on a 1/1 scale Bones Liberty mini.

Fortunately the mistake was caught while the first mini was still being constructed and the Statue of Liberty was pulled from the Bones kickstarter before backers could pledge for it.

Bet ya'll didn't know that!

In Norway, saturday is named 'Lørdag' or 'laurdag' and comes from old norse 'Laugr' because vikings, being the barbarians they were, bathed on saturdays.

The human circadian rhythm is roughly a 25-hour day. Absent any outside signs, like sunrise / sunset, or a clock, humans will tend to sleep an hour later each day.

If you're trying to readjust your sleep schedule (for example, after jet lag), it's easier to stay up later each day and "somersault" your sleep schedule instead of trying to sleep several hours early.

This also means it's much harder to readjust your sleep schedule after staying up late. Late sleeping is a self-perpetuating habit until corrected manually.

Cats don't have a strong one and sleep whenever they want.

The Statue of Liberty was originally pitched as a monument for Egypt.

In 1869 the French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi tried to sell the Egyptian government on a lighthouse in the form of a colossal statue of a robed woman bearing aloft a torch at the northern mouth of the newly-finished Suez Canal, to be called “Progress Carrying the Light to Asia” (alternately “Egypt Carrying the Light to Asia”).

Egypt was not interested, so Bartholdi tweaked the concept and two years later while visiting the Unted States tried his pitch again, with more success.

Cheetah cubs are born with a series of black and tan stripes running down their back that disappear as they grow up. No one really knows why, but scientists theorize it's to mimic the honey badger, a notoriously ferocious animal that absolutely everything stays away from.

Cheetahs raised in captivity are often raised alongside a dog to make them more manageable; the cheetah does whatever the dog does, and the dog is much easier to train.

Cheetahs are remarkably genetically similar to one another, compared to other species; it seems that during the last ice age there was a massive decrease in population to dangerously low levels, and all cheetahs today can trace their ancestry to one of the few cheetahs that survived.

Cheetahs make the most adorable, uncatlike sounds.
