If you can invest in a bottle of Reaper Brush on Sealer you will have a reliable sealer.

Spray Sealers are ok but be aware of temperature and humidity which can affect the outcome.

That's the one I used, but the gloss version. It was only the fangs and part of one leg so I was able to save it without much trouble.

You do need to shake it well.

And do not apply it too thick.

I did, and did not. And the paint already on my spider was dry. Maybe I just brushed too hard or something?

Could be, I gently brush it on, sometimes I dilute with a drop of water.

One more tip.

For Drybrushing - use an old dedicated brush

For priming and sealing - use a dedicated brush.

Preserve the best brush for your details.

Drybrushing will quickly kill a brush as will priming a mini with rough textures like fur or ridges.

I recommend reading the Painting and Advice thread, look at Youtube clips of Painting Fantasy Miniatures and look at people's WIP and Show Off threads to see how others tackle this.

You got talent, the spiders look great.

Especially the Blue one, really love that one.

Also like the markings on the white one, you can handle brush control!

I like to see more of your work.

Oh ! And put the pics of the finished ones in SHOW OFF!!!

The patterning is super awesome! Your precision is fantastic!

It is missing shading and highlighting though. For a quick and dirty way to shade it, brush some Citadel -----somethingadjective---- Earthshade "Shade" paint onto it. The spider will get more brown, but the wash will go in the nooks and crannies. Shading and highlighting will make surfaces appear less flat (they aren't flat, but our eyes get stupid on small scale, so we fake the lighting effects).

"Agrax" Earthshade. And yes, the Citadel shades do a nice job serving as premixed washes...though I like the Secret Weapon washes a bit better.

And I see these are in Show Off, so I'll go talk more there...

Thank you. :3 I think the blue will be the one I end up using in game. He turned out so nice, especially for being the one I spent the least amount of time on.

I have entire sets of good brushes and brushes good for little else but full coverage or drybrushing. It's a trip mixing and resorting the sets after I've used half of both. I'm doing pretty good in that department. Next time I get some time, I'll work on stalking threads, etc. Thanks for the advice. ^-^
