Custom Lazy Susan Paint Rack

Recommended Posts

Using a metal Kurig holder I ripped the pockets out after cutting a bit with my Dremel. I then cut a piece of cardboard tube to fit the inside and by the backstop.

I’m in the process of cutting PVC to hold the paints in  the backs are shaved about 15 degrees to fit 10 vs 9. Not sure what I’ll attach them with. Hot glue is easy and cheap.

Great idea.  Watching to see where this goes.

Hot glue works well to fix PVC to both Xps foam and wood.  Should be fine on cardboard as well.

Did a bit more and changed it up some. 13 going around now and going to build higher.

Over all size at this time. I most likely will cut it down some. I purchased two ten foot pvc tubes so far. I only shaped about a quarter of them to fit. I broke a small band saw blade I have been using for over a year now and switched to my big blade.

Thanks.

As as far as an update to the rack it is holding up very nicely. It is quite heavy with all the paint on. I ended up not painting the rack. Instead I’m going to hopefully soon build a desk with it set up inside the desk. With my paint shaker mounted next to it.

182 in the pvc and can set a few more on top.

I used a chop saw to cut pieces to length. If you attempt this were safety glasses, and let the saw stop before rising. Unlike how wood acts my first cut caught the blade as I was rising it up and blew up. A piece hit me hard in the hand and for a split second I thought it got lodged there.

I then moved everything over to my band saw and trimmed each side flat. Then cut 15degree off each side of one end.  You do want to leave a bit of material on the flat sides for support.

I then hot glued everything in place on the stand.
