How are you going to make 2018 a better year than 2017 was?

Farewell folks! Your new questioner will create the next GTKY thread as we usher in the New Year! :winkthumbs:

Thank you for your time as questioner.

Right now, I don't know how I'm going to make 2018 a better year.  I'm just focused on getting through the weekend.  I've spent a good chunk of it working and I'm not done yet.  Maybe I'll ask about getting comp time for overtime during my next annual review.

In theory, my workload is supposed to be reducednext year but I've heard that one before.

Do you have any New Years traditions?

My parents did this thing of serving up Black-Eyed-Peas on New Years Day.  (The vegetable; not the band.)

I have abolished that one.

I tried watching the New York ball drop on the Telly. They have ruined that.

What is something significant that you want to do in life that you have not yet done?

What is something very small that you want to do... just because? (Can be as simple as "eat an entire block of cheese in a sitting"). Quest: Go do that very small thing. Today.

Travel to Germany and Scotland

Play WoW for a couple of hours uninterrupted.  Done!

If you had to eat a single meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? Describe in detail so that we may all drool a bit.

Eggs.  The incredible edible egg,  raw, soft boiled, hard boiled, fried, over easy, dippy, scrambled, omelets, egg salad, hard boiled egg sandwiches, sausage egg and cheese sandwiches, eggs benedict

Are there foods or drinks that most people find delightful that you find gross?

Second call: If anyone wants to be the Questioner in January, PM me.

Not really gross, but most of my family LOVEs asparagus, I don't like it.  It always seems to taste bitter, to me.

Hopefully grow my department and find more billable work for myself and remove the lackluster year that this past one has been in my career.

Outside my personal distaste for squishy vegetables, Avocados and Nutella (separately or together).

At 00:30 we fill the double-twist drinking horn with 2 bottles of mead and toast the new year with honey on our lips.

My toast for 2017 was to encourage myself and others to get outside the comfort zone. My toast for 2018 was to encourage myself and others to reach out and help and receive help when we need it.

We're still going strong! Incredible. It's been a bit, so poke me if I ask a duplicate. I've missed y'all.

      The roolz:

      The obligatory rules posting:

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question.
1.5. If I fail to post a question, Inara (possibly) will post a question of her own choice.
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted between 6AM and 8AM EST
3.5 (Rule 3 may be the 2nd most broken rule.)
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to me.
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why are always fun).
      7. Weekend questions may take the form of two or three day challenges, often starting on Fridays.

I will be posting late the night before as I won't be awake super early in the morning.

CMPA is doing a "Bust a Move" challenge. I've been meaning to paint this lion for a while. The only non blue part are his eyes. The rest will be 50 Shades of Blue. I am basing with Dragon Blue, but intend to subdue it with less saturated blues as I go. First bust and first monochrome! Okay, almost monochrome
