Army Pack Contents?

Recommended Posts

Quick question about the multiple figure packs, such as:

https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/dwarf/sku-down/06196

http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Reven/sku-down/06161

Are these sets of parts that need assembled into somewhat customized figures? Like a collection of torsos, heads, arms, weapons?

Or are they finished figures which contain multiple duplicates? Like 3 figures with 3 of each.

How might one tell prior to purchasing and opening? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious...

Thanks!

This.

Most of the times you can get 2 of the 3 sculpts separate as well.

Add a third and multiply to get a regiment box.

If solo mini has loose weapons or shields, so will these etc...

Those are army packs so you are getting not 3 but 8- 9 figures in total.  You get an assortment of the 3 figures shown, which is why the price is so high.

Reaper does not do mix-and-match figures with separate torsos, heads and arms, like GW does.

Some individual figures might have separate arms or weapons to glue on. Usually the figures with 2-handed weapons have to be glued, because of the limits of molding.  Figures with one handed weapons, like these dwarves (https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/dwarf/sku-down/06195)  come in one piece.  Shields are sometimes separate but not always.

Well... I would caveat that. It's sort of both. The main parts of the figs (body, head, legs) are generally one piece cast for all of these. But a lot of these packs come with some part (usually the hands/weapon) which needs to be glued on.

I think, in the spirit of the question, no these are not swappable/customizable as you might find in a plastic unit box from another company.

Yes, you might have to glue something.

So it sounds like it's mostly more-or-less a set of duplicates, not like Citadel does. In some cases if the figure (not in a set) comes with more than one weapon (like an axe *or* a sword), then one might slightly customize the small squad. Otherwise, it's 2-3 different types, and 2-3 of each of those.

Appreciate the input, folks.

There are also weapon packs, you could use that to customize more.

A weapon swap is quite simple to handle.
