I've had gunpowder tea in the past, so having dwarves weaponize coffee somehow makes sense. They look like an eager and alert group.

For the piece itself, the coffee pot is the only thing I can see that needs further decorations. I'm picturing the Starbucks logo converted to a dwarf beard.

The Vertically Challenged Caffeine Powered Lads & their cannon painted up WONDERFULLY...TERRIFIC brushwork & a FINE choice of colors.

The coffee pot makes the piece for me. VERY WELL DONE!

I thought about that, but Starbucks is more of an Elven thing.

What about a take on Death Wish Coffee's logo instead? ^_^

Love these guys, especially the "normal sized" tankard of coffee!

Nice work. Love that the cannonballs aren't metal.

Great idea and skillful execution! Yet, as stated already, that coffee pot begs for a logo..

Especially given the color scheme (and the IRL rivalry), I think you need to go with a Dunkin' Donuts theme.

Dwarven Donuts?  Or Drunkin' Donuts?

I don't know. I just live here.

Right now I'm using GW and Reaper dwarves for Maxwell House, I plan to pick up some Chaos dwarves for the Folgers army, so a Dunkin theme would work for the Oathmark ones once I get around to acquiring some.

I know caffeine supposedly stunts your growth, but that's ridiculous! :)

...Because they are dwarves, and dwarves are short?...  <somewhere a cricket chirps>

Hey, I tried, and I haven't had my own coffee yet...

Awesome stuff! I don't know how some of you folks come up with these great creative ideas.

I didn't really factor that in...although it fits in a way. Mayhap a side effect of the blessing of Agamenthar the Coffee God, or a vile slander thrown out by false doctors who serve the demon Yuban, I am not yet sure.

The myth that coffee stunts your growth was invented out of whole cloth as an advertising scare campaign by Postum coffee substitute, back in the 1930s before truth-in-advertising laws were toughtened.

Just thought I’d mention.

Anyhow, these are adorable.

I painted King Axehelm while I was at Reaper HQ in late May, after ReaperCon.
You might recognize him from the cover of the Warlord Savage North book. (Frost giant not included.)

      Enjoy,
      Derek

Well havent been online much as we just had to repalce my comp, meanwhile been working on my 30K Horus Heresy army - loyalist Luna Wolves, lead by Loken

I took an army shot, tho still have work to do, mainly vehicles, but overall infantry is done. The colours are Vallejo medium grey,  Reaper Weathered Stone (mixing up fr the grey, three layers to weathered stone), HL'd with Ghost White, one of my fave colours, ever

Here's a big batch of miniatures, no common theme, that I finished recently.

The "Eyedra" assembled as the more generic Hydra option, from "Dark Platypus Games".  Thanks to the Reaper Box of Goodwill for this one.

A Ral Partha "Dwarf Thief", more suited as a Gnome to modern scale, also acquired from the Box of Goodwill.

To celebrate their return to 5E in "Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes", a Giff, 3D printed from designs from the wonderful DM Workshop.

A Goblin Monk.  I believe he's originally an Orcling from Foundry/Warmonger.

Another Goblin, perhaps an Alchemist.  A Warhammer Snotling.

A Dire Pillbug, originally intended as a Myconid Mount, from "Ganesha Games", in their "Fightin' Fungi" range.

Also of note is the backdrop, which are my in progress 3D printed Caverns set from "Printable Scenery"

I've never been much of a fan of GW.  I mean the first fig I ever painted was GW, but that's because my friend (who was also the store owner) gave it to me for free (Come on, try it, the first one's free....).
And I played some Bloodbowl back in the day (should really finish my Chaos Dwarf team one of these days...only been a decade or two).
But I never really got into anything GW was making. Style wasn't what I was looking for, or the price point, or whatever.
So then last week I was in Montreal for the GP (great time, too bad the race itself was soooooo boring). Was visiting a friend who lives up there and we wandered into the rather impressive GW store in the Eaton Centre.  Took a look around and caught sight of this:

Apparently a new edition of Age of Sigmar is coming out this week, and these guys are a faction.  Or whatever the different groups are called.
I thought, "Those are pretty cool!  Flying stuff.  Steampunky.  I like."

Then we left.  And I went and marshaled for 3 days (the support races were better, btw).
Then we met back up on Monday.  And I was still thinking about the cool steampunky flying ships.  So we went back and I picked up the starter. (they have 2 bigger flying ships too, but ouch, not cheap).

So, this is what they look like when you open the box:

Oye! Lots of bits.  Looks like everything has options (they have a very detailed assembly guide, quite impressive).  Options that presumably follow rules.  Rules I'm not sure I'll ever read, let alone play.
But I may check with the local store; I think they had some folks playing something GW.

So that's all I've done with them so far, but figured I'd post and get the WIP started. These may take a bit to get going.
