Reaper Bones 4: Information Thread

Does anyone know if when you add extra items onto your initial Kickstarter order, do the extra items ship separately from the first order or with it?

Everything you order on the pledge manager for the kickstarter all ships together.

WIth the calendar month changing, there is an increase in received emails wanting to know where the tracking for their Bones 4 order is/"when will I get my stuff".

We repeat, we are on schedule to fulfill in February of 2019, not 2018.

Not quite sure how copyright infringement is for naming minis, but The Dance of Death is already a mini made. It is a limited edition resin vignette by Ellie's Miniatures, depicting two soldiers on horseback fighting. Thought Reaper may want to know.

Unless you can retroactively put a Copyright on an medieval allegory, I think they're in the clear...

according to the great fountain of wisdom(wikipedia)

Quote

Dance of Death, also called Danse Macabre, is a late-medieval allegory of the universality of death.

It's also Iron Maiden's 13th song...

3 novels, 3 plays, 6 movies(the first in 1918 )and the number of artworks.

A google image search results in a rather overwhelming set of pictures...

In other words; that title has been used on so many works of art that no one can claim copyright infringement on it.

I would think that it might be more troublesome if the other version was also two dragons in similar configuration. Seems unlikely to be an issue otherwise.

It's one of those cases where copyright is limited to specific combinations.

Remember how we went through something similar in Bones 3 with Ma'al Drakar vs. Tiamat.

WotC does *not* have a copyright on five headed dragons.

WotC does *not* have a copyright on the name Tiamat (ancient Mesopotamian god).

WotC *does* have a copyright on five headed dragons named Tiamat.

But circling dragons called Dance of Death... It may or may not be generic enough to be public domain.

Exactly my thoughts.
