I'm making a small piece of terrain to go with this army.

Actually I would like to make a lot of cool terrain for this.

So:

Reaper Bones Graveyard Set Pieces.

Minimonsters Miniatures Crypt

Ral Partha  Reaper  Rising Undead ( Thx @Mad Jack)

Mantic Movement Tray.

That is a SPLENDID start. There is nothing quite like a graveyard for setting a sinister mood. HAVE FUN!

Thx guys!

I have another one of these crypts with a different roof and a lot of stuff left from the Reaper set and some other companies.

There will be a lot of eerie terrain in the future and I will also complement bases with that stuff.

I will probably add some raven or rats too.

I'm thinking of adding insects as well.

I'm in doubt about adding a proper mini to this, a Necromancer or Vampire perhaps?

I will buy some more stuff like this, Tabletop World has a nice Crypt and tombstones set.

Eventhough I don't like much Warhammer Stuff these days, I do like the old stuff and they have this great set Garden of Morr.

Also Minimonsters has a slightly larger crypt as well.

I think this army will be rising from a large graveyard and they will be taking over a city, so I can paint plenty of buildings and terrain for them.

Of course THIS started it all.

And that will certainly be part of it all.

I ordered stuff from Greenstuffworld, it will arrive in a few weeks.

Some natural leaves, a set of 48 Gravestones  and two sets of Crunch Plates.

You can use them whole or cut them up to make bases with or put a few pieces on a base.

The set I ordered looks like this:

An example on bases:

One thing for future consideration, try to avoid placing your buildings with the walls running parallel to the edges of the base.

It gives the piece a stiff look & makes it too easy for the viewer to figure out the size of the piece.

Ooooooooh, somehow I'd never seen those crunch plates before.  So adding some to my next order thanks for mentioning them!

Also, a few weeks?  My GSW orders take a week to get here, I'm guessing a different post is used to ship within Europe?

Thank you Al!

The next one will be placed a bit out of centre then.

I have chosen the cheapest shipping option which is between 10 and 20 days, since I'm not in a hurry.

If I spend more on shipping I could have it next week.

Those Crunch plates are new, they have three different ones.

This one, skulls and Stacked skulls.

Ahhhhh.  I guess I get lucky, because every time the cheapest for me was Registered Mail Urgent to Canada ^_^

And as for the crunch plates, yeah, I suspect I might be picking up a few in the "soonish" timeframe...  Can't wait to see what you do with them!

They have some interesting new rollers too o_O

Here are a few new additions to my Bones monster collection:

77262 Vulture Demon. I was going for an ethereal look to these. I know the Vrock has been depicted in red and black in recent editions of the game, but I like these colors better. I painted each a little different so that the can be more easily differentiated when used in a game.

77260 Ape Demon. The Barlgura in D&D does not have wings, but they look too cool the remove. More subtle difference in coloring here. I thought about doing one in brown and one in black, but black so dull.

77117 Vandorendra, Snake Demon (I'm not sure why she gets a proper name and the other two don't... I also don't know why I did not take both front and back shots of her.)
I painted the chest area as armored because I might use these in a game at a convention, and I never know what the ages of the players will be at those events. I'm not a prude; I like the human form, honest!

There is another from this group that can be found over in the conversion thread.

Painted this up for Rat13 as part of the Summer Exchange. Wanted to do a limited summer/fall color scheme and I am happy with how he turned out. These are not the best pictures in the world as they were taken quickly before packing him up.

This mini is by Mantic for the Kings of War game, which I think is defunct, and so I got some of them cheap.

I like him him a lot. Can’t wait to inflict my D&D players with an undead guy...who summons undead guys.  (Wash, rinse, repeat)

My first Reaper Forum post! Please give constructive criticism if you have any suggestions!

At first I was going to make this dark priest Caucasian, but then decided to go for a “Abdul Alhazred” feel, complete with human flesh scroll and inscribed in blood.

I am glad to be on the forum and will post more on my extended “sinister graveyard cult” that I am working on!
