Knight Models: Harry Potter Adventure Game : March 14th

Recommended Posts

This one is going to be tempting even just for the sake of gifting. I enjoyed HP, but I'm not a crazy fan. I have friends that are, and who like when I paint things for them.

The Sculpts they are showing are in resin. Does anyone know if the final mini will be in resin, plastic or metal?

My daughters were all over this.  They've had zero exposure to Knight Models or Kickstarter, but are all over this.

I'm down for painting them, but have no interest in the game.

This means we're probably backing.

I'm looking forward to this as my wife is a big HP fan!   But I haven't even finished adding all my wants to Bones IV, let alone budgeted for a new Kickstarter!

Stretch you dollars!  Stretch!

"Each 35mm miniature is produced in high quality resin, making it ideal for collectors, painters and gamers alike. ... Players must explore these environments, resolving Challenges and Quests in order to secure victory." -- MK webpage : https://www.harrypotterkickstarter.com/

The board sure looks like a miniatures skirmish game, but hopefully MK will release the rules during the campaign...

"Nope. These are the actual minis. Display quality resin. No joke." -- Twitter from Mark Latham, game designer. He also did Mantic's Walking Dead rules.

Hope I can afford this...!

Gee. Thanks a lot ced1106.

Just because of that one post of yours I've gone from uninterested to serious curiosity about this kickstarter.

Those are some very nicely painted minis. Sculpts look great too.

Mark Latham did an excellent job on The Walking Dead Ruleset which I'm a big fan of.

Dreading how much these will cost, but I'm sure I shall back at least for a few.

My thoughts too. Just hope its not an all or nothing campaign like Darksword does.... $150.00 minimum buy in... If that's the case, I will probably be out. Too many projects coming that I want.

Looks good, but Knight Models *shudder* they may as well be cast in platinum given how much they cost

Some neat looking alien terrain.  I like the idea of curved walls as it should make handling miniatures easier.  Looks like this creator has delivered a resin project before (a dice tower).

*edit* Not sure why images aren't working, I'll try again later.

Also some cool stuff in the stretch goals.

This is a pre-launch thread, but should be launching on Kickstarter in April.

Darkholds is a dungeon crawler boardgame - think Space Hulk crossed with Zombicide - containing lots of undead (including Wihtgar, Wihtboga, Wihtax, Gasts, Dreaguth and Tomb Spider) and six heroes, all in plastic. It's heroes versus the game.
The heroes are Carrowek, Penda, Nerys, Gnith and Sáthach, plus a special KS only miniature that you can ONLY get if you purchase the boardgame, Morag of Mann. You can't get her separately and she will only be available during the Kickstarter. The retail version won't include her.

I don't know why it keeps merging into a single post.  But hopefully it stays.

The Weitz Method, created by Andrew Weitz, a Juilliard-educated professional musician, is based on a revolutionary method of music notation called Weitz Notation that allows students to play piano in minutes. Once a student learns the basics of The Weitz Method, they will have the ability to play any song in Weitz Notation. Andrew Weitz wants to bring The Weitz Method to people all over the world via downloadable video lessons.

      Why 'The Weitz Method'
'The Weitz Method' works by breaking down each song into simple notation using familiar shapes. No need to spend hours learning how to read music! 'The Weitz Method' gives you the freedom to learn the songs you choose immediately. Say goodbye to the typical beginner tunes and hello to your favorite pop melody. With the funds to purchase song rights, 'The Weitz Notation Library' has the potential to grow exponentially.
Let's face it: you're busy! With responsibilities, friends and family, your time is at a premium. You deserve the freedom to pursue your passion for music at your own pace. That's why 'The Weitz Method' will consist of a downloadable material that's always ready when you are.
