Batman™: Gotham City Chronicles by Monolith, Kickstarter

Recommended Posts

KS only (not coming to retail as Monolith made a loss on the retail version of their Conan game)

3d006ee76e61d54fd32dcf382b39dcb7_origina

optional buys

01e3053e70d98764a7ee2a148aaeba30_origina

plus lots of unlocked stretch goals

game roughly based on the fairly well recived Conan game engine, they did a decent job with the Conan minis too so if your into batman and have the (significant) buy in it's probably a wise pick.

In for the base pledge plus Arkham and Bat mobile

Wayne mansion just doesn't appeal to me, nor the Vs one.

This is already rocketing with the SG and we are only 3-4 hrs in.

I was really excited for this one last year, but the renders they were showing off got very hit or miss, so I'm now a cautious maybe.

Oh neat.  I've been sitting on the Batman Miniatures Game rulebook for a couple years now, but never purchased any of the minis due to the cost.  So I could definitely go for this.

(This is not a complaint) Looks like they have new-style Harley Quinn on the box art and old-style Harley Quinn in the minis.

Yeah...I'm in.

I'm debating as to how far in I want to be.  I'm up for Wayne Manor (Alfred in a fighting stance!) and Arkham Asylum, but not so much the vs or the Batmobile.  That may change by the end of the KS.

The models look pretty cool and I'd love to get some.  Wish they would be available without the rest of the game...

Knight Model miniatures (and WizKids) are available retail, although at $25 MSRP, might as well get the Monolith game.

I guess I'll find a use for my dead pennies from the wet palette to weigh down the bases. Does the sculptor like waffle cones??

Nice thing about Batman minis is there are lots of alternates you can swap in if you don't like some of the game figures.

I'm really unsure about this.  I do think Conan is a wonderful game, but a superhero re-skin is just kind of "meh" for me.

I'm in since I skipped Conan. I hear their plastics are okay to slightly better than tabletop. Any opinions from those who picked up other monolith games? I'm in for the moment, trying to decide how much I want these minis. My main Batman buddy's wife had a baby, so I can forsee less game time and overall, the pricing is way better per mini than knight model.

Do you NOT like waffle cones?

I really want to...I've been tempted by some of Knight's models, but that price tag.

      https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/416262521/scenic-resin-bases-for-28mm-tabletop-wargame-minia?ref=discovery

After a successful 1st kickstarter project earlier in the year I am back with a second.
This time I am looking to extend my existing range of 28mm scenic bases with 3 further lines. I already make bases as part of my business and have paved bases, lava bases etc. along with various bits of terrain in my range already.
Moonkraft is a fairly new start up and I am looking to add many many more goodies to what I already sell. I have a brain overflowing with ideas, the only trouble is deciding which to do 1st.
If you are like me and are a miniature painter and gamer, then you already know that a good base will give you miniature the finish you want and can really make or break a good bit of painting. Also this bit of modelling can be a little tedious and time consuming and if you are painting a new army those minutes soon add up and turn into hours.
I have created 3 new sets of bases, Rocky outcrops, Skulls and Rocks and my personal favourite Atlantian Temple Ruins. I need to raise just £500 for the moulding costs to produce all 3 of these sets of bases. which I will add to my growing range of terrain and bases.
The bases were sculpted by myself and I have made them in 3 sizes, 25mm, 30mm & 40mm so they should fit all the sizes you require.
The pictures don't do them justice.
25mm Temple bases 30mm Temple Bases 40mm Temple Bases 25mm Skull & Rock Bases 30mm Skull & Rock Bases 40mm Skull & Rock Bases 25mm Rocky Outcrop Bases 30mm Rocky Outcrop Bases 40mm Rocky Outcrop Bases I do things the old fashioned way, no 3D printing or computer software, I build and sculpt, then I make moulds, then I cast. If necessary there may be a 2nd mould made to improve casting after any adjustments have been made, but this is a rarity as I am an old hand at the process.
The funds will be used for the silicone to make the molds (the expensive bit) and also go towards the resin.
Postage. We will be shipping the set out as soon as the funds come in and the prices are set to the following 3 zones: UK, Europe & Rest of World. Prices are based on Royal Mail to calculate the cost.

      A kickstarter from a company called Rebel Minis, who I have no experience with;

It looks like quite a good way to get a large number of figures, all rather old-school and not at all expensive.

There is an early-bird add-on of a goblin pack-bearer, which I like the look of.
