question about restocking

Recommended Posts

My 8 yo son really enjoys your reaper miniatures and he purchases and paints one almost every time I take him to our FLGS. Recently he was looking at your catalog of minis online and asked about the Great Worm #77006 which is currently out of stock. We found some online for more than double the price so He wondered if there are any plans to release this model. I took this opportunity to teach him how to email a company, so he typed up his question and sent it. Well I guess he learned the reality of some corporate communication as he hasn't heard back or even got an acknowledgment, so i thought I would try the forum to see if he could get an answer.

Thank you for your time.

I don't work for Reaper, but I have read a few things regarding Bones miniatures. ::):

Sadly, on occasion Reaper can run out of them, especially the more popular models, as at the moment a good portion of them are made in China in bulk, and then shipped to Reaper.  They are working on moving the production to the US, but such takes time, and a reasonably sizable investment.

If possible, I'd ask your FLGS if they're able to order it in for you, doubly so if they deal with Reaper and/or distributors for product as distributors can have stock when Reaper does not, and vice versa.  Another place to check would be online retailers within your country, as quite a few do tend to carry Reaper miniatures.

I wish you the best in your search for this particular miniature!

Thank you. Our local store shows them as out of stock at their distributor. Looks like he will have to decide if he wants the model enough to pay the extra for it online

Restocking is not a quick process.  It has been three to six months at earliest for Bones items to return to stock.

We are currently revising our procedures to reduce this time.

Look for it in a few months to be available again.

As for emailing response times, it depends on the address sent to and the daily volume of received emails.  Response times for general queries are often longer as the more urgent emails have higher priority for attention.  Help@reapermini has received over 290,000 emails since November first when I reset the counter.
