Squareware: A special dice kit for the DM

Recommended Posts

Squareware has now launched on Kickstarter. I'm seeking funding to prototype and mass manufacture a very special dice kit I have developed that combines the best features of a Box, Bag, Mats and Dice to give you millions of instant creative solutions during or while building your RPG - and - help the DM eliminate creative, mental and physical fatigue; minimize the need for manuals; free up space behind the DM screen; allow you to craft entire quest concepts in seconds; and make it easy on your shoulders, bag or pocket to carry. #dice #rpg #dnd #tabletop #gaming

Fantastic idea!

I think I'm looking for a game aid that is less an idea or quest generator, than ones for dungeon details and contents, and city encounters and descriptions. So I hope you put out more game aids like this in the future. I also would like to see some sort of program (PDF file, spreadsheet, whatever) that lets a user create their own mat. Best wishes on the project!

Hey there - I didn't understand your first paragraph - but if you check it out now you'll see it covers a huge range of new things, and I am attempting to build an automated Artificial PC Intelligence into it - it includes a lot of new things now.

      About
PLAY Purgatory is the game you always wanted and absolutely must have! Our game is set in a world where Heaven has imploded! After a titanic war between Angels, renegades have been flung to the corners of the Ultraverse. These traitors lurk amongst the stars, manipulating and deviously plotting against their former kin. While others do not fear the retribution chasing their heels, brazenly defiant that they have enslaved worlds and wage war in the name of their lord - Satan.
Earth is one such place. Humanity teeters on the brink of extinction. Angels run riot on one of the largest staging grounds in the galaxy as we know it. Humans eke out an existence, ultimately serving Angelic Lords or themselves in an endless cycle of death and rebirth.
The popular and successful first Kickstarter project launched Purgatory unto the world, delivering a unique skirmish game that combined deck building and faction building, alongside fresh and unique models. Now we are expanding this range up to the 30 model mark as well as introducing new game modes so that you can alternate between: SOLO, 1 vs. 1 or Co-Operative play.
The Solo/Co-Operative play keeps with the theme of Purgatory, but rather than picking your optimised gang for 1 vs. 1 play, you instead randomly generate your gang through a series of quick-play Encounters, building your team to take down a boss. The idea brings elements from online play, where you look for a group to tackle a dungeon or raid boss. The Encounter Sets include these 'bosses' and with the different difficulty settings that you can use, the re-playability you gain from Purgatory for a low entry cost is considerable.
Take a look through our rich history by clicking on the image of the Rulebook below, and you can see how Purgatory plays from the first version of the Kickstarter. This book is now being adapted to include the solo/co-operative rules, but with a 44-page background, you can really get a glimpse of the world and the setting behind Purgatory!
Welcome on board in the fight for Earth and the War for Heaven.
Break down walls to get your hands on a copy! Choose from your starting factin, from one of five options! A work in progress shot of the Jini Msaki crossover model....

Wanted to see how the WizKids preprimed figs were, I was going to use it unpainted since it was plastic but also need to kill time between my other figs drying, so I gave it a shot.  Came out fine for my tabletop game.  Will try some of the hordes of reaper bones I’ve stockpiled from the kickstarters.  I’ve always been concerned about the paint flaking from pieces bending

Can never have too many Orcs

My apologies, the picture came out dark

One of my players uses this figure for his goth, warlock, in my campaign. Had to pin a new sword as the old one was frail and couldn’t handle 10 years of tabletop abuse. So after some badly needed touch ups and sword swap, he’s/it’s ready for the table again

Finally finished the pair for my gaming group, with the wolf being the last.  At this rate I’m averaging 1 every 18 months.
