Question, April 16: Who here has their taxes done?

Finished yesterday.  They were mostly done a month ago, I just needed to add Daughter Dilvish's college stuff.  Went from owing a little to getting some back.  The refund is tagged to help pay for Bones 4, RCon and Awesome Wife and Middle Daughter's Philmont hiking trip next year.

I did mine as soon as I got my W-2 and my accountant (my Mother) said she wasn't busy and I should come in. Early February, I believe.

Been there, done that... The very day I got my T4 in electronically.  We promptly spent our refund on several things, but most prominently was a giant bag of small bottles full of paint...

That was two months ago ^_^

I had them done right after the first of March & e-filed. I got my return about a week later.

The IRS is like Jesse James without the guns.

We always get money back, so ours were done quite a while ago. Ours are also easy to do so that helps as well.

Weekend Question, April  14-15: What has been your best find lately? Weekend Quest: post a picture..?..of the find, if you can manage such.

Best find? Hmm...

A box of Noble Armada dreadnoughts for less than 1/3 the retail price.

Question, April 16: Who here has their taxes done?

Mostly done months ago. Last of the state taxes are going out today. The IRS seemed to think that I used the ACA and requested a form for that. I didn't have the form, and called them. They said they were sorry and didn't know why I was asked for that...

Also one of my employers last year sent me a corrected w2, so I had to fix things... :grr:  :grr:  :grr:

Done them over two weeks ago, before I moved.

Being Canadian, I still have two weeks if I wanted to.

I was at the 2018 Adepticon in Schaumburg, Illinois last month helping out at the Reaper Paint & Take tables.

I took pictures of the stupendous international Crystal Brush competition entries and other minis and terrain with an eye towards the interests of the people on this forum. Also some fun cosplay and miscellaneous interest.

I can't guarantee my photographs are great. I was using two cameras with very different capabilities and strengths and I am not a professional photographer. Some of the pictures use a very harsh flash because it allowed for super sharp enlargements of detail, something I thought painters here would be interested in.

I didn't know which entries would win the Crystal Brush competition, and as it turns out I missed the third-place winner. I have got pictures of the first and second place winners.

So to begin with, here is this year's first place entry, "Apocalypse", a diorama by Michal Pisarski.

And this is the second place winner, "The Name of the Wind", a diorama by Sergio Calvo. My pictures of this are not so good, I'm afraid.

Looks like it has rolled back around to me.

      The roolz:

      The obligatory rules posting:

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question.
1.5. If I fail to post a question, Inara will post a question of her own choice.
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted between 6AM and 8AM EST
3.5 (Rule 3 may be the 2nd most broken rule.)
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to me.
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why are always fun).
      7. Weekend questions may take the form of two or three day challenges, often starting on Fridays.
