We're gonna even go see the Green Sand Beach!! I didn't even know there WAS such a thing!!

Green Sand is a soil amendment among the “ultra organic” gardening crowd.

According to ^ this there is green sand somewhere in NJ.

Okay, that's cool. Different kind of green sand, but cool.

I miss being able to post YouTube videos here....

The Auld Grump - there used to be a mod for Fallout 3 with that song. ::P:

Me too. It'll be kinda cool to spend Christmas day lounging on a beach somewhere...

So far today I've only had coffee. I should  probably eat something. We maybe going to an Isle of Dogs art exhibit, if my bride is up for it. We'll see.

Oh were those from you? My husband says thanks! He appreciates a target rich environment.

So the company I lease my soul to has announced massive layoffs and offered a voluntary severance package.  Next month I find out if I still have a job or if I am taking the money and running.

Con in October went well. Next year I am going to be running a paint and take. I’m going to comb through my paints for any dupes left, and buy the minis during the twelve days of Reaper.

Trying to stay awake for a minimum of 4 more hours. Attempting to make sure that I go to sleep at such a time as I'll wake up by 6am, but not before 3am, so that I will have the awakeness required to drive my roommate the almost two hours to the Pittsburgh airport tomorrow, stop at Ikea to buy a desk and possibly a desk chair, make the almost two hour trip back, assemble said desk, and get my hobby stuff moved over to the desk before I hit "sleep deprived caffeine zombie" status for the rest of the night because I will need to pull an all-nighter in order to go back to work on Tuesday afternoon. I'm royally screwing over my sleep schedule for a couple days here, just to help out a friend and make a trip to Ikea.

Right now I'm in a bit of that zombie mode, but I'm hoping that the food I'm currently reheating will help keep me going a bit longer.

Also, without even realizing that today marked the 100th anniversary of the Armistice, I backed a kickstarter for a WWI based RPG. It's called Never Going Home: World War Occult. The premise sounds interesting enough that I was willing to plop $10 down on it for a PDF.

I had an epiphany today.

You DON'T need a recipe to make a casserole! :;,;:

If the foods go together, then add rice or noodles, and cheese or mushroom soup! Bam! Casserole!

Today, rice, burger, onion, a can of stewed tomato, sour cream, a package of taco seasoning, and cheese.

Bam! CASSEROLE! :bday:

You have no idea of how proud I am of this accomplishment!

I am going to be ragging Mum SO hard about this!

Welcome to the world of exploratory cooking! :winkthumbs:

Casserole is a great way to make a full meal out of leftovers that are just not quite enough to make a meal.

Sounds like today's non-recipe will be/is/was a tasty dinner.

Didn't go to the Isle of Dogs art show in Manhattan, and instead went to a different one here in Brooklyn!

 Congrats on leveling up your cooking skill! It works pretty much the same way for soups, stews, and chili type dishes.

And speaking of, it's time for dinner. :;,;:

I have acquired a pot roast. With a lot of pot roast juice. It took 3 hours of cooking and some ingredients. It was a fitting use for the freezer-burnt Meat Slab I found in the back of the freezer.

The leftover pot roast is destined for all day pasta sauce. But the pot roast juice...

Soup base! Roast beef ramen... :winkthumbs:

Last year I acquired the nativity box set. I've been procrastinating and have just realised I have less than three weeks to paint it up...

My calendar show Christmas is still 5 1/2 weeks away.

so I just have to ask, why do you have less than 3 weeks to complete a Nativity Set?
